5741d870.jpg

Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure combines combat, action, adventure and stealth as the main character, Trane, sets out to prove that he's the best graffiti artist around. It's really not that easy, however, as the game features something called, "Get In, Get Up, and Get Out". Gamers will need to use stealth in order to "get in" to restricted areas, dexterity and agility in order to scale tall objects to "get up", and the ability to think on your feet as you run from the powers that be in order to "get out". The city of New Radius is a living character in Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure; it sets the tone and offers the thematic boundaries that oppress Trane from the opening cinematic to the dramatic conclusion.

Playing as Ama Terasu, a sun god who takes on the form of a wolf, your goal is to bring life back to the world. Bringing life back to the world involves defeating lots of beasts. With each beast you defeat, the world's life force is restored just a bit, with colors and eventually people appearing. Famitsu reveals two of the game's main beasts, the Ama no Jyaku and the Nue. Ama no Jyaku has the ability to peep on what others are thinking and disturbs them by doing the opposite of what they want. Nue, meanwhile, gains strength with every sip of the alcohol that he carries with him.

Time For an update Guys ! As Fight Night round 3 release Date is nearing my anticipation for this game is Increasing ! Its The sequel to the awesome Fight Night Round 2 ! Here are some Details About The Games Career Mode { Looks Awesome }:D :

Fight Night Round 3: From Zero to Hero

Published by : Electronic Arts
Developed by : EA Chicago
Genre : Sports
Number of Players : 1-2
Release Date : US : February 14, 2006
Also Available On : PlayStation Portable, Xbox

The Fight Night series has been one of the best competitive multiplayer games around since its inception. Part of it's due to the vast amount of complexity and depth to the fighting system, but the other part is that people simply like to beat the utter crap out of each other. Simulated violence is always fun. But sometimes you'll want to put on the gloves at 5am or when you've skipped work to play (again) and your buddies aren't around, so it's off to the career mode for you.

For Fight Night Round 3, EA Chicago has made quite a few major changes to the way the singleplayer mode works. The first thing you'll notice is that you begin the game as an amateur, fighting in gyms to prove yourself. Donning protective headgear, you won't have to worry about any of the cutman elements of the game until you turn pro. These amateur fights allow you to adjust to your character's fighting style, come to grasp with the controls if you're a newbie and get in a handful of training routines to buff up your fighter before you head out against the big boys.

One important thing to note that's related to this is that you're now able to edit your fighter mid-career. This is nice not only for modifying your hair or even facial features should you grow tired of your guy's mug, but because of the amount of different fighting styles in the game. If you start your career with the mummy stance, for instance, and decide you want to switch back to the classic mode, you can do so at any time. Additionally, not all of the styles are available from the get-go -- you'll unlock them over the course of your career, so being able to edit your boxer will allow you to make use of them immediately without having to start anew.

Starting out as an amateur is not the only new aspect of the career mode. For starters, the game no longer relies on a ranking system for your progression, and instead uses a popularity meter. You'll begin as an unknown fighter and work your way up the popularity chain, moving to local celebrity status, to a well-known boxer and then onto being deemed the next champ.

Just as in last year's game, after each fight you're able to browse through a number of available fight contracts, each with variable purses, bonuses and such. You're able to scout out your opponent, get a look at how their stats match up with yours and check out their fighting styles. After this you're given a round of training, which works very similarly to last year. The one big difference is that auto-training just gives you half of the maximum stat upgrades, rather than allowing you to designate how hard you want to push your fighter.

After each fight, you'll see a short "hype" movie of sorts on the main career screen. Before you sign your next contract, it'll quickly recap the events of the last fight. Once you sign a contract for your next fight, it'll change to provide information about your previous match-ups, show a bit of trash your opponent is talking and the like. It's rather simple but pretty cool.

Previously the series offered a couple different match types, like Hard Hits fights and such. With the integration of ESPN into the mix, you'll also find ESPN Wednesday Night Fights and Friday Night Fights. Accepting these fights and winning the match will earn you the respective trophy for that event type.

One of the biggest things that EA Chicago wanted to introduce into Round 3 is the advent of rivals. You'll pick up your first rival early in your career as an amateur, and you'll see him follow you into your pro career. As you work your way through your boxing lifetime, you might pick up another rival or two along the way.

The biggest differences in rival fights, at least early on, is that the game will talk about your previous match-ups much more often and in-depth than any other sort of fight. You'll here the in-game announcer mention your rivalry at the start of the fight, and again occasionally throughout each match. It does fairly well at making your career seem to carry more history, which is pretty cool.

Once you're further into your career and have become a big shot, you'll actually find yourself at press conferences before fights with your rival. You're seen standing at the podium with your opponent nearby, just before he takes a swing at you. Popping into the first-person camera attached to the bigger Impact Punches, you'll have to defend yourself as he tries to take a few cheap shots at you. Shortly thereafter, you're thrust into the ring for the real fighting.

One last kinda cool thing about rivalries is that once you retire from your career, you'll find your boxer and his rival as a selectable match in the ESPN Classic menu, allowing you to fight him again even after your career is over. Cool stuff.

That just about wraps up everything we know about Fight Night Round 3's career mode. We've haven't been able to sit down and fight all the way into retirement yet, so there might be some tricks in there somewhere we don't know about yet. But, the game is only three short (long) weeks away, so we'll all have the chance to do so soon enough.

We finally got our hands on a near-finished version of Namco's Tales of Legendia this week and some noticeable changes have been made since we last saw the game this past December. The load times and voice acting, for example, have been totally streamlined -- eliminating the strange pauses we encountered when moving from area to area, while also filling up a lot of previously dead air with English vocals. Admittedly the English speech work isn't going to win any awards, but the presence of actual speaking adds a lot to the anime and in-game cutscenes.

Playing the new build of Legendia also allowed us some extra time with the battle system, which in case you haven't been following the game's progress, is nothing like the GameCube favorite Tales of Symphonia. In fact, Symphonia's combat mechanic is rather unique to the Tales series whereas Legendia has gone back to the franchise's roots. Combat takes place in a 2D plane and plays out in real-time where various buttons can be pressed in combination for chain and combo attacks (sort of like a beat 'em up). To mix things up players can assign "Eres" commands to their characters as well -- these act as special hyper-powered moves that can deal extra damage to whatever gets in their way.
The combat feels like it's out of an action game rather than an RPG.
And while we're on the subject of combat, if there's something that can be both a blessing and a curse is that the battles haven't been too challenging. In the first couple of chapters we've mashed our way through just about everything, with only an occasional boss monster putting a damper on things. For general gamers new to RPGs or those looking to get more story than combat, this lack of challenge could definitely be viewed as a good thing... but for those who are RPG veterans and really like to test their skills with a deep and interesting mechanic, the ease of difficulty might not be received so well. Then again, with plenty of hours to go before all is said and done, it's far too early to tell how the challenge is going to battle out.

However, we will tell you this: Tales of Legendia has an engaging art style and accompanying environments. The visual look of the game is definitely unique and it's among the most colorful RPGs we've seen since the SaGa series. The story and its revolving cast of party members seems like it could end up being a lot more in-depth and interesting than Symphonia's was too, and for a series that is widely known to be weak in the narrative department, that's a promising proposition.
Legendia's anime cutscenes are extremely well done.
We'll save the rest of the details and analysis for our full review in a couple of week. But in the meantime, be sure and check back with us again next week for a new feature on the enemies and bad guys of Legendian lore.

Actually I have posted them as thumbnails ! Coz the bigger the picture the more bandwidth it requires and many users on TE still use the 56k dial up connection , therefore it will take ages for them to completely open this page ! World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 International : Review !
Published by : Konami
Developed by : Konami TYO
Genre : Sports
Number of Players : 1-6
Release Date : US February 7, 2006
RATINGS - 8.8

Presentation { 7.0/10 } : Still the Achilles' heal of the franchise. Lack of licenses hurts, as does awkward menus and interface.

Graphics { 8.0/10 } : Great facial textures in cutscenes, but players need more emotion. The animations are stil the best in video soccer. On the pitch, there is negligible visual improvement over WE8.

Sound { 7.0/10 } : The commentary is nothing special. The crowd provides good atmosphere but doesn't react to heated action in the box. The song list sounds like it was ripped from a cheesy '80s Ukrainian discotech.

Gameplay { 9.5/10 } : Football at its finest. You can play 1,000 matches and see something new every time. Slowly building your attack and hammering in a header is to die for. Excellent physics and control.

Lasting Appeal { 9.0/10 } : Master League is among the most challenging franchise modes in sports videogames, and strangely addicting. Finally, with online play and rankings, we can discover just who the best is.
fc3e1947.jpg
05c64d77.jpg

IGN [ 8.8/10 ] : For soccer fans, there is still no play in videogames more satisfying than a goal in Winning Eleven. No touchdown in Madden, no dunk in NBA 2K6, no one-timer in a hockey game will cause you to jump out of your seat and scream like a crafty goal in Konami's outstanding soccer franchise. That same -- and I mean, exact same -- outstanding gameplay returns in Winning Eleven 9, and Konami scores again with the best playing soccer title on the market...................... http://ps2.ign.com/articles/686/686157p1.html
Gamepublic [ 8.0/10 ] : Konami's Tokyo development office has been churning out world-class soccer games for years now, and their pedigree is unmistakable. Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer for PAL fanciers) has a famous lineage, and one which Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka and his team look to improve upon with each iteration. With this year and Winning Eleven's 9th incarnation they've outdone themselves, taking this already well-polished diamond and making it even shinier...................... http://www.gamepublic.com/link/?481729
Clubskill [ 9.5/10 ] : Every year we get the same story.† Konami improve on a near perfect game, EA get ever closer to Konami with FIFA, and more FIFA fans slip away and increase the PES ranks.† This year, things aren't so simple. Konami were hot on FIFAís tails to release another version of their world renowned, Pro Evolution Soccer series, especially because FIFA have topped the UK charts for 3 weeks now.††You'd expect minor gameplay improvements, all the teams now licensed, and commentary to match, right?† Wrong...................http://www.clubskill.com/Game_Reviews/2036/Pro_Evolution_Soccer_5_Review
Totalgaming [ 9.1/10 ] : This is the fifth instalment of Konami's Pro Evolution football simulation game and they just get better and better. This time around Konami have made tackling a more realistic experience, forcing players to be patient and defensive to avoid giving away a foul.An improved first-touch system and dribbling technique makes it harder for the attacking player to run rings around the defence, while shooting has also been tweaked to add to the realism. Now, finally all versions of the game have online play, allowing even the loneliest of loners the opportunity to find a human match. As with all previous Pro Evo titles the lack of licensed teams leaves you with a list of fake names, although Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid are now on board with real kits, club crests and player names. A bit of effort though and you can rename all the teams manually, if it is an issue...................... http://www.totalgaming.co.uk/games/story.php?id=686
BOTTOMLINE : If you’re a fan of the Pro Evo series then you’ve probably already purchased a copy of this on day one of release. If not, then there’s no better time to switch allegiance from FIFA.
