Torrent downloaded from Demonoid not starting at all

I downloaded a torrent yesterday from demonoid. It has 50-60 seeds and more than 90 leechers. In whole night it downloaded only 6 Mb out of total 4GB :@
What may be the problem

PS: Connection is Fine and ports are forwarded properly

Also i have noticed that the tracker of demonoid has no pass key types attached which will identify and calculate my ratio
it has just something like this

xxx.demonoid.com/<something>/announce

You may need to wait a bit, enable encryption in utorrent also. Demonoid typically has had no passkey in their torrents. Often the seeders are slower (like us) and the leechers are also slow (again like us) so patience is the key here. Keep looking for a better torrent tho and switch if it seems to be faster. Read/ post in the torrent comments too.
 
Chk how old is the torrent .. If its more than a month old on Demonoid then thats the kinda speeds u will get ..
You also have to undestand that 60+ seeders is not equall to 60 complete seeders . Some of them can be partial too hence not act like seeds at all ..
Try searching for it on Zamunda ..
 
^^ because of the backend tracker used on demonoid, if you are a partial seeder - you are counted in the list of leechers. Only those with 100% of the torrent data are counted in the seeders category.
 
so is there any workaround ?

Now since the torrent does not have a passkey is this what i can do

1. Download torrent from demonoid

2. Use the reannouncer website to find more trackers

3. Use that torrent file / trackers obtained to download the content.
 
LOL, pm me the torrent. Let me see. Cuz this has never happened with me, get full speed(30KB/s + on 256KBPS connection) wthin 1 minute of connection.
 
this is the same problem i am facing for the past few months!

none of the torrents from demonoid, TPB or mininova work for me....they just sit there and do not download....even though seeding of whatever small data is downloaded goes on at full speeds! LOL

i believe it is due to the fact that most "seeders" are in reality partial seeders, as mentioned above. also most demonoid users have simple low bandwidth connections(very few seedbox users there), and hence the low speeds. then again, demonoid does not have any kind of ratio rules or any seeding rules, so hit and running is common.
 
Hello i have the same problem at my place . . I m using bsnl broadband connection . . It uses one dns . .

i havent tried tho but will the removing of dns or using other dns like open dns help in such case . .
