Shipment tracking shows delayed. Could be due to the stupid lbt. I'm guessing no invoice sent with hdd. Hence the holdup.

Edit: blue dart says holdup is from their side. Some technical issue it seems.

Update: got the drive. Its USB 3 and was sealed. Date of import is June 2013 by rashi Mumbai. There's a leaflet that says warranty is 3 years. No power in my house so couldn't check warranty card on drive. Drive came with universal adapter and USB 3 cable. Case has lots of holes in it for air cooling.
Funny thing is the invoice I got was of someone else. Invoice inside eBay plastic was same that we see on eBay of seller side. Should I ask for proper invoice?

Warranty check link: http://www.sdd.toshiba.com.tw/english/Toshiba_Warranty/content/WarrantyCheck/index.aspx

Can't make out head or tail of warranty status like WD or Seagate. Site does mention that warranty is 3 years from date of purchase.

Probably 1 = true & 0 = false.

@6pack perhaps it would be better if you could get your doubts cleared for duration on their helpline/ CC through email.

There's no doubt on warranty duration. It is 3 years. Its written everywhere from their website to the packaging including warranty PDF file on disk. :D

no i meant the actual date.

i had an issue earlier with WD 2TB where the date of expiry of warranty was low.

had to email the CC , the issue where they updated the date correctly.

because in your case , the actual date is not present, you never know , if you lose out on that one or two months of warranty.

please post its performance data !!

also does it uses only usb or requires external adapter/power ??

I transferred 200GB on the drive and average time was around 1 min for each GB. So around 24MBps on USB 2. Copying files from one external USB to Toshiba drive, speed was around 20-22MBps. Don't have USB 3 on pc so can't say what speed you will get.

External adapter is required and its included in box.

Ordered one on 19th july, got delivered on 27th Saturday evening 6.45 pm ,opened to find a defective product, escalated to ebay dispute, but they closed the case stating that manufacture warranty is available, then spoke over mail with international service team , then with rashi peripherals, the asked to bring the HDD to service centre on 30th , after intense examination accepted its manufacturing defect, but will have to get approval hence received the HDD and issued a inward receipt stating the will get approval before 3 pm same day and notify me on the stock level by then. but till date no response from any one of them, really fed up calling and mailing them. so ordered a Samsung D3 Station from snapdeal yesterday.

PS : To my surprise the new listing from croma states RS 5,237. i will never again buy from croma or Toshiba.

Rashi service is always pathetic. Manufacturers get blamed because of them.
Not buying from croma because price fell in few days?
That's weird. Look at other online sites.they increase our decrease prices in a day according to coupons or sales. Example flipkart. I was searching for a headphone there, and on Sunday the price of jbl headphone was 1490 or something like that. on Monday it became 1560 with 160 as cash back.
So will you stop buying or won't buy from flipkart ?

no not because of that, but their way of treating customers, not responding to mail, calls. also irresponsible packing by croma. not even a bubble wrap was done in my shipping.

TBH, WD is far better with after sales. with toshiba it is rashi which is a pain.

even heard offlate , there is over the counter replacement available with seagate.

any one tested this HDD in USB 3.0?
which courier are they using?[DOUBLEPOST=1376671684][/DOUBLEPOST]guys listing has ended. Any other offer. I too want to order one
