If you are a heavy texter, I suggest you buy a phone with a physical QWERTY keypad like the Nokia E63 or Samsung Corby Plus/Pro.

I have used the touchscreen phones from Nokia, the touch input is not that good. I am a heavy texter myself and I prefer a physical keypad over an onscreen keypad.

P.S: What is the price of the Samsung Corby Pro & Plus?

+1, a physical keypad is always better if you are a heavy texter. Simple example is when texting in a car or a bus, our indian roads are known for the potholes hence we shake a lot and texting in a car on a touch phone in this state is disastorous, you will end up typing some thing else. Here the physical keyboard is much reliable.

I heard that the sliding mechanism in the corbys' are bad,and tend to wear off.

Im almost over nokia 5230 due to many more features present in it.

3G,GPS to list a few.

I have decided to go for 5230 ahead of corby.

I own a corby mate and a blackberry curve 8520. . .corby mate which costed me 6.8k was the sadest phone with a qwerty I have ever seen. . . If I get a option b/w a corby and 5230. I would go for 5230 eyes closed.
