CPU/Mobo TP45HP + C2D e7300 + g.skill 1066 2x2 = good?

Hey guys, I know too many threads by me, but paranoid upgrading after 3 years does this to me.

Biostar TP45HP: 6.3k
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP45HP LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Intel E7300: 6k
Intel® Core™2 Duo Desktop Processor E7300 - SLAPB

G.Skill 2x2gb: 3.5ish-k
Which is better?
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
or
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
Is the one with the heat sinks worth the price?

Whole thing coming to about 15k, which is sweet
Plan is to run these with a Cosair vx450 in a Cm690. I have either a HD4870 1gb or hd4850 512mb planned.

May be 2 weeks or so after I'm sure the entire setup is running fine, I'll try overclocking the proccy to 3.4ghz.
1) Do able?
2) Are all the parts compatible? Am i missing something?

Thanks.

With the 4870 and the overclocking i'd recommend you go for a higher W rating PSU. While the VX450 is very capable and i woudn't be surprised if it handles the above rig, i think the lack of ultimate firepower might hurt it in this case.

Invest in a good CPU cooler if planning to OC, not necessary, but will let you push further and run stuff cool.

EDIT: Did some rechecking, VX450 SHOULD hold pretty good, although prices at this time are inflated and you could get a good efficieny, higher W rating PSU from CM/Antec etc. Your choice :)

Good luck!

Don't confuse me man. Corsair or something else? I really can't decide between the two.

Go with whichever one's the better deal then. You have to make that decision.

Get the processor locally, it costs the same and you would have warranty. The board costs about ~1,000 more locally, worth the warranty imho.

myth u got quote for cm690 and corsair VX450? Post it here in case u do... i shall be getting that case too.... and thinking about higher rated smps through one of the dealers here ut through ebay mostly, to save some cash

Thanks

dude tht biostar tp45hp has got 22% out of 31 reviews below 3 stars on newegg...

and a lot of ppl sayin tht its got bugs...needs flashing...whereas the elder brother...the tpi45 is got maximum % of all 5 stars.....and just 1-2% 1 star...which is cuz of doa...

the tpi45 is also very stable..almost all the reviewers mentioned this

so me think tht goin for the the tphp is little risky...get the tpi45 mobo...its for 7.5ks..i think..

 i just noticed the missing "i". Go with the TPI45, no question. If budget doesn't permit, there's always the Gigabyte G31 S2L ...

I'd suggest to get a CM RP 550 instead of that corsair which is now ridiculously priced. Rest seems ok to me.

Maybe you can increase your budget by 1k and get a Gigabyte P45.

A little change that I had forgotten to post was I decided to go for the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P. I compared the specs, the reviews I've read, and the gigabyte name and ud3p seems like a kick ass buy. Waiting for a quote on it through KMD. It costs about 9.5k here right?

@harpy

Check TheITWares - Buy Computer Hardware , PC Components , Laptop Computers - One Stop for all Gizmos!! Been hogging this websites bandwidth like crazy since the last 4 days. CM690 listed at 4400 there. I've asked KMD for it too, so lets see what he says. The corsair's vx450 priced at 3950 on it.

So here's how the pricing is:

Intel E7300 - Rs. 5900

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P - Rs. 7500 (unsure)

g.skill 1066mhz 2x2gb - Rs. 3500

Ati Radeon 4870 1gb - Rs. 15400

Cooler Master CM690 - Rs. 4200

Corsair VX450 - Rs. 3950

Which comes to 40k. After finally figuring the very basic theory of why higher multiplier is good for OCing, 7300 seems like the best proccy for OCing with a 10 multiplier. Monitor and some cooling for OC goodness on next sal day.

Now here's a big confusion. I was getting the hd4870 1gb for 11k. The dude I was buying it from decided to backout. So now its either 15.4 for a new hd4870 like this one Newegg.com - ASUS EAH4870 DK/HTDI/1GD5 Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards or 8.8k odd for a HD4850 512mb.

I can't decide. I want something that'll be good enough when I decide to move up to core i7 6-8 months down the line. Monitor is probably going to be a 24" or a 22" depending on how the prices scale towards the end of february.

The contrast in a 8.8k price and a 15k price is so huge, its making me reconsider. At 11k it was major steal, but at 15... almost twice the price, it doesn't look so appealing. But seems to be worth it... ARGH VARIABLES!

If the 11k deal didn't work out i suggest reverting back to the 4850. Will serve you well till you decide to upgrade, costs about 8.5k and more importantly, will run to it's full potential from the word go(no bottlenecking).
