Wasted my time on this silly deal yesterday ...
Wont let the seller get away from this with ease ...
Reported ebay to block this seller OR provide me the HDD at the purchased price.
Lets see what happens ..
Others please put forward a request as well..

@ All --- Plz give the seller a -ve feedback after receiving the refund ! I dont understand why they cant withstand 9 orders at 2249 ! New ones are like 2.7~2.8k in market....stingy seller

One more thing which is hard to digest ..
If someone sells an item, he/she gets a message that the item has been sold for xxx amount to xxx buyer.
He did not see 60 messages ???
Also he again listed approx 5 drives afterwards...
Im sure he would be aware by then, that the price entered by him is wrong...
Otherwise why would all the 60 drives sell within an hour.
Something really fishy about the seller..
He's surely going to be flooded with Negative feedback...

I also got the same call from seller, I got the mail from the seller as well which says eBay will give me some gift coupons because of this canceled deal :S

I think the seller is actually right. A little digging around reveals that ebay has changed its policies for cancelled orders (from the seller's side). If there are a certain percentage of cancellations in your net sales, ebay charges some percentage to the seller and sends out gift value (not percentage) coupons to the affected buyers. This is a new policy to make sellers more accountable.

So even with the cancellations, he has lost a good amount of money for his mistake. And of course, all of you get your money back, credited in the same form you paid.

Gift coupons? worth 2k?.. thats just bullcrap. u folks should get the money credited back

^^ Err.. We'll get the full money refund plus may be some crap 50 or 100 off or some other coupon from ebay, that's what he wrote.

The policy stated "eBay will levy a penalty to all sellers whose PaisaPay refund rate (Auto refund + Seller initiated refund) is greater than 2% of PaisaPay transaction. This penalty will be up to Rs. 250 or 4% of PaisaPay amount whichever is higher for all refunds greater than 2%. This amount will be then sent to the buyer in form of a coupon."

Reported the seller. Will give a negative feedback as well. Such unprofessional behaviour should not be tolerated.

Someone made a mistake and everyone is ready to hound him and make hay. Wonderful. I guess if you are getting a full refund you should be content. Whats so unprofessional about it.

I think you guys should go a little easy on the seller...okay he made a mistake (which some of you/us were already speculating seeing the 'hard to believe' rates).

At this point with the negative feedbacks + the financial penalty (assuming 50 drives he is out 50 x 100 at the least even if ebay charges him just that for the 250 coupon) + the regret for setting the wrong deal

I am sure he has nothing to gain from this because ebay will definitely make him refund the full amount...so he is out of money and reputation on ebay which certainly isnt good for him...

I am in noway affiliated to the seller obv and didnt buy the drive because I thought that it might be a false deal...

Just think we should be a little considerate thats all because it doesnt seem to be a fraud but an honest mistake (hope that ebay and the guy dont make me eat my words up)
