Triband UL 256Kbps is now UL 384Kbps; NU849 free from 10pm-8am - w.e.f 09-11-2009

Just yesterday a friend saw a brochure of Tata BB lying around at my place and asked me why not shift to Tata.

Some 384Kbps unlimited for Rs.1000/-; 384Kbps day and 1.5Mbps 10pm-8am for Rs.1200/-; free lappy with 3 yrs payment, etc etc

So not interested, especially in paying more as even NU 849 becomes quite heavy after taxes.

And got an sms today.

# Trib unlimited 256Kbps for Rs.749/- is now faster at 384Kbps for the same price and will now be called Trib unlimted 384Kbps.

# Free time for NU 849 is 10pm-8am instead of 12am-8am. hyeah:

(i and so many more so wanted this. now i can stretch the day limit a bit longer and also sleep earlier and more if i want to :clap

AFAIK mtnl is present in mumbai&delhi...so in chennai it will be BSNL...

MTNL is only in Mumbai and Delhi. Rest of India is BSNL.

Also i am on 512 kbps plan and i think i will change to 384 now as i save 250 bucks and moreover citing the usage at my home, 384kbps or 512 kbps, wont make much of a difference ?

Am i doing right ?

MTNL is only in Mumbai and Delhi. Rest of India is BSNL.

Then go for it dude.. 384kbps will be smooth. 512K is needed only for smooth video load without buffering and among other things...

damn BSNL sucks even more now

all the metros have luck with isp's increasing speeds and reducing prices. the rest of india still has to pay huge amounts for high speeds and stuck with bsnl.

Confirm first u not getting 2mbps speed..else it might turn other way later

^^ Nah Buddy...that party got over after independence day when MTNL decided to play good and offer double speeds

I used to get 2 Mbps (on my 256 kbps UL connection :lol: ) earlier but was reduced to 512 kbps.

There was time when MTNL used to bring in new plans after BSNL . But now everything has changed...
