Reason is MTNL seriously wants to cover 20 lakh customer by next year end...(by this year 5 lakhs would b covered)

Also some next month onwards they are starting wifi internet(somewhat what tikona offers)from what i read in business papers

Also they have started to make profits from their foreign customers etc

Also a friend on whom i least depend also gave a food for thought that another upgrade might happen by jan next year (same getting twice the speed of what u pay)...though i ll happy to hear from the company itself
 
I'm with 999 Unlimited, 512 kbps plan, frequent disconnection with MTNL, from last 2 months, in a week lodge 4 complaints, all are in pending status. Last month too lodge complaints for same problem, no one call for problem or solution, complaints (docket no.) automatically marked as solved with no solution at my end.

MTNL slowly (with more users & new connections) moving towards Problem & More Problems. :@

But for some reason, I got charged for the session from 10.30PM to midnight :(

End Date/Time : 18/11/2009 00:00:00

Session Time: 01:20:22

Accounted MB: 4.15MB

Update: The lady on the phone says "you won't be charged for it".. I don't believe her.. I'm going down to the exchange tomorrow.. The notice probably means new people will be affected immediately and us existing users will have to wait for next month :(

Any other people from Mumbai noticing something similar?
 
WOW! They update the new timings for the 849NU scheme right when I get Airtel. :@

I don't want to risk not waking up at 8:00AM and being charged a huge bill. So I'll stick with Airtel's unlimited line for now.

To deal with Indian government employees, the most effective way is written (typed) letter. In official format. No phone call , no oral interatctions..
for centuries, these rats are familiar with files and files and files...nothing else.
You better take a printout of a letter headed to your area customer relations officer, copy to yourself and exchange. This must work.
(you need to mention whom its copied in the original one)
sending thru oridinary post will do, or registered with acknowledgement will be more powerful.

Those who got charged in the past few days for downloading after 10pm-

Get screenies of session history and save if printout needed later.

Go to local exchange.

Complain, politely.:P

They may erase the usage right in your presence. :)

Seems like not all servers at local exchanges have been updated.

That's what was told to a friend living in Vile Parle East and his 600MB (ouch!! he stopped dwnlding bet 10-12 after that one session to be safe) was taken care of. :)
 
yes Minie has not been updated .. I still have to use form 12 am intead of 10pm

I guess User Id ending with @a has not been updated.

Also one more thing i had noticed that speed is very slow. ( ard 1 or 1.5 mb ) instead of Having IPTV as well ( i dont use IPTV )
 
My account usage has been updated and corrected accordingly. :clap:

I guess its now safe to dwnld from 10pm.(10:13 pm to be precise...acc to MTNL time) :hap2:

Mine is updated too. I checked last night and tonight as well. No sessions counted after 10 pm. :D :clap:

Damn, I didn't see this thread early. Only came to know yesterday.
