Trip to Mahableshwar....Need advice for accommodation

I presume you work in Chennai - so your "mahabs" is roughly 54 kms away > great for an office outing with the blokes. Even then no-one here is buying your gaffe that it came to 1.2k per head at Radisson :mad: - unless you took a day-package-deal [no rooms] :bag:

and again - chennai > mahableshwar is 1136 kms !!! :banghead:

This is a great thread - From Mahableshwar > Mahabalipuram .... OP must be wringing his hair in disbelief. :woot:

Am sorry if I miscommunicated as spent the night too .from morning till evening around 18 people it came to per head we had some corporate discount

On the way to Panchgani now.....have booked a 2 bhk apartment in Mount Hall Panchgani....

Please advice some good non veg restaurant in panchgani n mahableshwar...normal budget....


Please suggest places to visit there and any other must visit places n must have food
 
I had suggested all the possible places earlier - Tableland > Mapro Garden> Sherbaug > Venna Lake > Mahabs

IF you are visiting Panchgani, then one breakfast at least you must have at the Laxmi Vilas Hotel. It is a popular little eatery, simple and unpretentious, five tables inside and two outside, with the capacity to seat a total of 28. Laxmi Vilas Hotel is located on Dr. Billimoria Road, opposite the old Town Hall and Panchgani market, but there is the possibility of the locals not recognising the name if you ask directions to the place. That’s because in Panchgani, everybody knows Laxmi Vilas Hotel simply as “Dave’s”. Dave is the name of the Gujarati Brahmin family that has been running this restaurant for over 80 years.

At Mahableshwar - there are plenty of options (veg/n.veg & local Maharastrian) - Jowar/Bajri/Nazni Bhakri's - all in the town main square

The ambience of the foodie joints that I have suggested is rustic & down-to-earth........ BUT the FOOD is HEAVENLY
