This propose of hardy theme suggests to Ubuntu 7.10 use the beautiful new Clearlooks engine with subtle changes in the color, selected menu item and in the gnome main-menu. So take a look at the may be future theme of Ubuntu Hardy Heron ;)

Why is it that mockups and screenshots always look better than the real thing?

Be it Ubuntu, Vista, firefox, OSX.....

Do they photoshop the pics to make them look nice? Mockups I can understand.... but how does it degrade so much in the final version?
 
^^ Well its no like that , Ubuntu team hasn't yet added any of the proposed theme .. Even lots of gr8 theme was proposed for Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon but they sticked to Human ..:@ Thing will finally change for Hardy Heron :) As far as Photo shopping screenshot to look better than end product, I don't think the end product of the exact theme will be bad...Well now Murrine and Clearlooks has added new engines for better themes so the themes will be much better than this Just wait for more addons for Hardy artwork ;).. I hope Hardy will look much better than Gutsy as personally I hate Human theme :|
