Let me rephrase that : Never delete Linux partitions(such as deleting files/folders) from Dualboot without reading the How To's :P

No distro is better or best. Each have been developed with different sets of things keeping in mind, so choose one yourself. Use any of the one that fulfills your requirement and that you like.

Like if you want most easiest and everything out of the box use Ubuntu / Linux Mint,

If you want your distro with more security and customizations Fedora is there.

If you are the guy who loves everything neat and clean and will only install the features that he needs, or the guy who like DIY approach Arch is for you :P

Refer DistroWatch.com: Put the fun back into computing. Use Linux, BSD. to get overlook of all the distros.

REMEMBER : Everyone has their opinion about each distro, so you'll get mixed reviews from everyone.

When you say "better" than Ubuntu, in what way you want it to be better? The GUI/compiz/effects? Try the Ubuntu variant KUbuntu which has KDE, have you ever seen KDE? You might just like it :)

If you still want GNOME/compiz only, then any other distro maybe Linux Mint and search for GNOME skins/customisation guides - you can make your linux look like MacOS!

thnx... vishal and krish...already tested ubuntu 10.10 and gnome + cpmiz fusion... looks pretty slick... iwant to dress up my desktop to mac os.. pretty noob eh ... so what distro + customization will b the best guide to do liike that??

A much easier way would be to boot into Windows, get the Windows MBR using EasyBCD and then formatting/deleting the partition with Ubuntu.
