how abt the HCL ultra-portable PCs? i saw 1. it comes without a CD drive and has only DOS. But you can install linux via a pen driver. and it is tiny... and comes with a integrated :D carry case. saw one some days back. blue covered one looks girlish though. see the black one.

but EEE PC costs almost the same and is better than that HCL thingie

Now a version of HCL ultra portable comes with windows installed and instead of SSD it has a 30 GB Hard drive.

thats a diff one n costs 30k i believe. no reviews out for that one. i prefer the E for 16k :D

check out the Raon Digital's Everun. Less than 1/2 kilo and runs win XP home and runs fer 7hrs on a single charge! picked one up for arnd S$1500 a cpl of weeks back.

my bad :ashamed: i didnt realise HCL had launched more models. I was still thinking the only ones were the X and the Y series.

Now IF only the case on the damn systems was as good/simple as the one on the E, i wud ve gotten the 30Gb one for a good download rig ;) hope xp drivers are provided tho. I dont wanna run linux on these.
