your claim that nobody is forcing users to use the TE app. then why disable it on tt. let that continue in parallel of the home app.... if there is no special development efforts reqd for supporting the site on tt app. using it on mobile browsers is pita

What more functionality does tt app give over TE app while browsing TE? Why do you want to browse through tapatalk only? What difference will a few Mb extra ( if you installed TE app too) do to your phone?

nothing, but it's still a pain to install, run, update, close multiple apps. why don't you mention why TE NEEDS to have its own app, and reach out to the members with transparent reasons, and how this benefits TE in the long run?
that is a better way to get users to understand the background to licencing the TT app for individual forum use and packaging as an app.

just my two bits.

No ads on TE app, as compared to TT app. In one post you guys complained of full page ads and blame TE for trying to rake in money, when it was not true. Then, you don't want to install dedicated app too. Whatever options we have given you, you put it down and blame mods.

Do you people prefer tt app which will put full screen ads in between rather than TE app?

It allows members to browse TE in the same functional and easy way as one does on Tapatalk. And there is also the small matter of the latter being paid!

I am all for the TE app but please do reconsider allowing TE access through TT. @Renegade, you had said TE would be accessible for people who've already added it to their TT network. However, am still not able to do so. This question was raised earlier as well but it missed your attention!

What do u mean by "the latter being paid"?

TT app does not have ads. Also, TE is not the only forum I browse so I prefer one app for ever forum.

If all forums go by this logic then having 10 different apps is absolutely ridiculous.

I dont want multiple apps. Thats it. Let both options be available. Those who have paid for TT will always prefer TT as you can browse multiple forums without ads.
Those who have not paid for TT "may" prefer TE apps as it does not have apps. But again many of such users wont like the idea of having multiple apps for same thing.

Its not a matter of few MBs. Its the stupidity of switching apps to do the same thing. Imagine if Facebook, Gmail or every other app had their independent calendar app... Currently all those app sync with the inbuilt Calendar app. Like wise when everyone (most of the users) are already comfortable with TT as their default forum browsing app, for TE and other forums why FORCE them to use a separate app only for TE.

Those full page ads were displayed in TE app not TT. (Accidental or intentional is not the point here. However that was corrected later). Also members using paid TT anyways dont have to see any Ads. So in short YES we still prefer using TT over the TE app. So much that I can give up one forum to compensate for the pain of one additional app. I am sure many others second this thought. PERIOD.

^ Why are you forcing us to enable TE support in Tapatalk app?
You don't like us forcing you (which we haven't), but you don't mind forcing us?

I feel stupid even replying to the arguments given here..... How are users forcing you??? Its not us who blocked access from one app to promote a inhouse app. Thats called forcing. We are just giving our opinions here about how we feel about the change. Gosh!!!!
And why would anyone need to convince you to "ENABLE" TE support on TT if it was not "DISABLED EXPLICITLY" in the first place mate :)

anyways, i never paid for tapatalk, i cant access TE on it, I use iOS and never saw ads. and yes, I hope respected TE Mods instead of turning questions around like *we dont force you, why do you force us* can explain the following in a polite, honest, transparent and mature way:

- TT based TE app created : congrats, thanks for purchasing this for us and giving us this OPTION??? ( why did you? what benefits does it give you? was the spend necessary? is this an investment which might be used later for ad based revenue, and ROI/Profit?)

- TT app access KILLED ? why did you STOP access via TT? If ppl paid for it, fine ! if ppl were seeing ads, and complaining - its still their choice.... they could pay for it and kill the ads.

You see there was an OPTION. Once you made the TE App, you did something great, but by REMOVING TT Access, you took away your users' option by FORCING them to use the TE App..

I hope this helps!

Can the mods please give us an honest answer why they are forcing us to use the free TE app which throws up ugly full screen ads (attached) and removing access to the TT app (for which we've already paid for and it doesn't have ugly full screen ads)?

If it's the ad revenue then tell the users so, and if it's something that you want to capitalize on, so be it. We don't have a choice but accept it because TE is one of the better forums around. But all that I am asking for is please be honest about it and not drag this discussion further 12 pages.

Lol mate , TE App is tapatalk only. The license was purchase by thge TE team -_- Its free to you,not them.

Oh am talking of members only. I mean to say thanks to the TE app, you don't have to purchase the TT app to browse TE the way one does in Tapatalk.

I fall in the category of members here who paid for the TT app.

This is going nowhere. Lets forget about all the forcing stuff. I am sure everyone here needs a straight answer to the simple question
Why TE access is disabled TT? Why not enable it again (Because many of us still like to use it)?

We don't intend to support tapatalk at all, not even the TE mobile app.
@Renegade Is there a reason for this?

I'm on windows phone and browsing or typing this reply on mobile browser is not a pleasant experience. Nor can I add TE to official TT app.

Whether it's a dedicated app or TT support, I hope TE finds a way to reach its audience in this mobile dominated era because browser is not it.

+ 1 .
Even I am on WP8 and browser is no match for TE app on android or Tapatalk

Another WP8 user here. Tapatalk was updated last week. It's fancy and more stable now. Can someone from the Mod team enable Tapatalk support for TE forums?

If it's something related to revenue, I can't say for others, but I am ready to pay fees as long as it's within reason.
