Android Unable to login to Outlook on Android 4.4.4

I was able to add/login to microsoft outlook and live email accounts using the default mail client till I was on Android 4.4.2 but after upgrading to 4.4.4 I am not able to add any new microsoft mail account. I think upgrade has something to do with SSL fixes

I keep getting "Your username of password is incorrect."

Any clues on how to go about this?
 
It's working fine for me.
Do you have 2 step verification turned on? You'll need to generate a password for the email app if you do.
 
I have 2 outlook web mails configured on 4.4.4 #r2 and they work perfectly.
Do you have two-factor auth enabled? If not then, try clearing app data and system cache.
