Any of u seen either of these RAMs in the market? Was reading xs forums and came across this. If you do, pls post here

Kreton VT 512mb

Vdata *Brain Power PCB*

Ace Ram *Brain Power PCB*

These are uber cheap UTT modules built upon brainpower pcb. Seems they are pretty common in asia so there's a high probability of finding them in indian markets being sold as cheaper than hynix ram :P. So if anyone is able to locate these rams in india, we sure would have hit the jackpot :) BTW I'm not responsible for finding either of this... all credit goes to xs members.

NIce find:)
am gettin sme new ram.....wil look for it for sure
EDIT:
BTW how do i know for sure wht am buying......how do i differentiate......codes ,mean i :ohyeah: (just saw SW 3)
nd these r way better than d43 rite??

Thanks for Chaos

UTT - UnTested

Well me too looking for some Ram , lets see if i find it somewhere.
Well UTT are the chips used on OCZ VX which darky has if i am not mistaken.

The OC like hell provided you supply sufficient VDimm.

[Hope i aint wrong in what i have said here]

Look for ICs similar to those in the pics. These are Winbond BH or CH die ICs. Will overclock to 250 @2-2-2 minimum if you supply them a high enuf voltage. Hynix doesnt hold a candle to these.

Well thts wht i was thinkin......but isnt thr a code or smethng for these chips??
if there r , wil reallyhelp,
if not, problem there is , not :ohyeah:

No code... These come as blanks from winbond and the module maker prints its own name on it. They are derivatives of BH-5/6 and CH-5/6 ICs that are so famous for overclocking.

well ya, but thats not what i wanted to say.
Every winbond chip has that dip. Thats winbond trademark unless stick makers decide to fill those.
And these cheap suppliers dont bother.
So thats how you identify winbond chip.
If the RAM chip has 2 dips then its winbond.

These ram mentioned in the pics are having one dip on each chip.
Is it what u want to say funky
Yup I guess he meant that... they have a hole at the bottom right.

Edit: Plus two dimples on the IC.

Ace Ram's are available here in India. I remember my old SDRAM for Duron had Ace chips and if i'm not mistaken, i had bought them from Simmtronics showroom

Hey but if ny1 does find these , then do come blazing guns at me :ohyeah: , with the ram ofcourse :)
