According to various sources, the new Phenom II X4 “T” processors are basically are based on the same cores as the Phenom II X6. So, if you’re lucky, you would be able to unlocked the 2 remaining cores, turning your X4 into a X6. It should also feature the same 6MB of L3 cache and Turbo Boost like technology. The Phenom II X4 960T is said to spec at 3.3GHz and the 940T running at around 3GHz.

even i am thinking of update if the price of 940 t should be 10-11k then i can get it as sweet deal :D

and amd is improve better job and unlock extra core while spend the cpu at less buck :D
 
no idea on the final price in India , but just got a confirmation , this is releasing on 28th April in India , one week more , must hold back the upgrade fever :)

not sure of the 960T , seems like the 940T would be about 10k at launch n stocks will be depleted everywhere thanks to the unlocking ability , will need to keep eyes wide open for this

AMD just raises the expectation bar with each launch . AMD never lets us down and almost creates 99% all of ur imagination to reality
 
Damn them, i was going to buy in first week of May, now im not sure :(

Anyways buying the X4 T processors is a big gamble rite now, since the yields will be low; there are pretty good chances that you may get defective cores. But further down the line when yield improves and AMD is stuck with this product then its a sure shot @ 6 cores.
