I would be returning back to Delhi soon. And when I do I will be moving out to another place in Tughlaqbad.
I need a Unlimited BB giving minimum 1mbps and 20GB data monthly.

For now here's what I found. What do you think?
Is there any better net/tariff from any other BB operator?
Also do tell me about the bills and all. As much info as possible. I dont wanna get duped.

How much would be the total fee? Also do you know anything about the registration fee and stuff? It'll be a NEW connection so I expect to be served a number of fees. Registration fee, service fee etc etc :|
 
If u buy your own router, u don't have to pay the 50/month fee for it, also there is a one time setup charge if u use a MTNL router, in mumbai it's 200 for wired and 500 for wireless.

I suggest you get yourself a nice adsl2+ modem plus router.
 
@prateekS not sure about other places but when i was in ncert we were forced to use the crappy mtnl-beetle router. And yes they take monthly charge for its usage. We could change the router but they would still take the monthly charge whether we were using it or not.[DOUBLEPOST=1374553958][/DOUBLEPOST]

I want 2mbps night and day. I think i'll go with Freedom 1295, solely because of the 35gb data usage.
O man I wish I had taken the limited offer which was once given by mtnl many months ago. 10mbps 35gb (i think). 1290/month or pay for 11months and get one month free. *_*[DOUBLEPOST=1374556376][/DOUBLEPOST]@prateekS suggest me an adsl2+ router.

MTNL doesn't force it's customers to use their own modem not at least here in delhi.
Even if you get the modem from them then they would most probably will give you a refurbished/used modem.

Once I asked their pal that why don't they give new modems to customers and to that he simply replied: "these days users buy their own modem/router and no one prefer the MTNL ones"

Yes they keep on charging you on monthly basis regardless of your usage until you submit their modem at their office and get a receipt for the same.
I have done the same and currently using the old beetel modem which failtel provided me and never took it back.
 
If you main usage is only to download and only little surfing, then go for Reliance Thunder Plans !!

549 + tax = 1 mbps - No FUP
699 + tax = 2 mbps - No FUP
1099 + tax = 4 mbps - No FUP

Pay for 6 months(or an year) in advance, for any above plan and installation charges of 600rs will be waived off.

I am using 2mbps plan with TP Link 150 self bought router.

Browsing is little slow, you need to clear the DNS manually or re-login to reliance page when session time outs.
But download is too good, getting 220-230 speed constantly.

@haris5sani usage will be online gaming and torrents. I doubt reliance will pass.[DOUBLEPOST=1374579580][/DOUBLEPOST]Also I still need a recommendation on the router to buy. Budget is limited say 2k max.

Check out the modem plus router options from Tp link on flipkart (the double antaenna ones, approx 2.3k), buy the same from infibeam, it's cheaper and has 5% further discount ,which makes it around 1900..

Thanks mate i was looking for an isp in mumbai, this looks good, what type of connection to they provide? A cable from outside or a rj11 connection?

Also website doesn't mention installation fee waiver anywhere...

And is it truly unlimited?

These plans are from Delhi or may be whole nation wise.

No rj11, direct rj45 cable coming into the pc, no modem required.

I bought router for wifi devices at home viz smartphones, laptop and tablets.

I think that waiver is limited or promotional, i asked about discount/waiver from guy who came for briefing about Thunder plans.
He told me this trick, u need to check with your guy, to whom you are making payment or call on CC for more info.

I have given my contact details on the Rcom website,expecting a sales call soon...i already have a WIFI router,TP Link 740m 150mbps...
 
my connection is 5 year old ,so i don't know what will be fee this time but i think it will be only security money of modem like 500 rs or something ! and i have to pay total 1140 rs for broad band and free 200 pulse of land line ! my montly download is 100-120 gb and i m using mtnl from last 5 years,better check their website for more details

150-200gb per month? :O what's your tariff plan? And actual speed?
 
100-120 gb bro ,its 1 mbps Trib combo Ul data-999 plan one ,i use to download mostly hd contents like Korean serials/drama n anime n other hd movie stuffs !! i normally get the speed of 125-130 KB for direct download n from torrents 115-120KB from private trackers! i total pay 1120rs including all the taxes etc and also got free 200 pules of land line
