Unpopular yet enjoyable games

XIII is an absolutely fantastic game. Too bad, they didn't make the sequel and left the story in a suspense.

My other picks...

Dink Smallwood (Free RPG with decent game play)
Infernal (Good Third person shooter)
Scarface (Interesting game play and decent graphics)
Just Cause (Absolutely Fantastic graphics for a GTA clone. Not as huge as GTA, but good game play combined with fantastic graphics).

XIII was faboulous and just cause was good but not much depth in that game.

To me Just Cause is fantastic because of the graphics. The game play itself is not too great. I am playing the game at 1680 x 1050 resolution and everything maxed out, and the island environment looks fantastic. I haven't seen such detailed outdoor environments even in the popular franchises.

ya just cause graphics were surely eye candy.

How could you call road ras unpopular, i remember when this game was released, it was massive, it was everywhere, i loved it,...

erm,
ye, prisoner of war, remember that, its ok.

crazy taxi, was popular, first game to be released for PS2 i think, you just drive people to desternations!

dunno anymore, cant think!...:p:D

Beyond Good and Evil. The final bossfight was brilliant!

Also, if you want to know what happens in XIII after the game, wait for the comics. Marvel is translating from the French version. Volume one is out as of now, though it does not go beyond the scope of the game. The next volume should take us after the game's storyline. (The game was prety good, I have gone through it about three times I think. Everytime I suggest it to someone I install and play it again.:bleh: ) Duchovny's voice acting was really bad though.

Recoil was another great game...i played it way back in 1999-2000 and the graphics were amazing, i recently played that game, and it still looks good, in the game you own a tank and you can pick up different powers and you get to destroy whole enemy bases. Whoever has played it has only good words for it but it certainly is one of the most underrated games...a review that i read very late said that he picked the game for 35cents and was amazed with the gameplay and graphics.

The Longest Journey and its sequel Dreamfall. Two of the best games ever. Another unpopular game of the DOS era that I absolutely loved was Shattered Steel. One of Bioware's first games before it got onto the RPG brigade. I think I still have it sitting on some corner of my hard drive. To think that the game actually had a fully 3D engine with 6 DOF that rendered at 640x480 in the DOOM era is insane.

Deus Ex was GOTY but it did not enjoy the popularity of the public much. Sales were not great.

Entire MS Flight simulator range enjoy very small but loyal followers.

Another one is Earth Simulator. Fantastic absorbing game ( if you can call that a game ;) )

Does anyone remember old dos game rocketman ? I was addicted to that in my schooling days :p
