CPU/Mobo Upgrading

Hello everyone

I am planning to upgrade my rig.currently i am using E6300 with Nvidia 650 mobo,2 GB ram,Nvidia 8600GT gpu,Powersafe 500w Gold psu.

Few days back i got myself a Samsung LCD,AL MX5021 speakers,320GB HDD etc

Stuff's i would like to change Proccy+Mobo,4GB Ram,GPU and PSU.Need suggestion on this,budget is around 30-35k for the same.

Proccy-Q6600 or E8400 or Q9300 or something else?

Mobo-Dont have much idea,may be some decent P35 or P45??

Ram??

GPU-9800GT/GTX or AMD 4850????

Will place my order within a day or two.i am sure shop wala will take few days to give me all the stuff.

Waiting for your suggestions

CPU Q6600 , real VFM

Mobo Asus P5Q Pro , again a great VFM

VGA Sapphire 4850.

Just a heads up, if its upto me i would strongly suggest u postpone ur upgrading for a month or two and then just sell ur CPU + Mobo + RAM + GFX and get a Nahalem, cuz its really not worthy to spend that much money when u know its gonna be outdated even before u assemble them in ur system. so think twice before u do this upgrade. :)

ur rig good enough and the upgrade jump would be much higher if

u wait for nehalem

really, unless there is life-threatening ;-) reason follow memnom's advice

I am from Pune and I have a Altec MX5021 sealed pack speaker set for sale for just Rs 5000. I used these speakers for 10 months and then they had a sound problem. Now I got a new box packed replaced set from the dealer and I want to sell them.

@arup and memnom thank a ton guys for your inputs but then i guess those new processors will be little expensive when they come out at the same time i have read some specifications for the same and i dont think ill be needing that.i am not in a hurry but i dont think it would be worth waiting and paying big amount for that proccy.

So,would request you guys to suggest me proccy+mobo,ram 2x2 gb,GPU,psu.i can spend 35k and if needed then another 2-3 k.

and by the way how is Phenom 9550,9850?and which mobo for Phenom some 790 mobo?

One more thing Asheet is selling his CM650W for Rs 4300(will negotiate little) here in TE(Market) so would like to know if its good enough and will it suffice my need/rig?
 
corsair vx450W ll do 650W ll wont be necesary..

quad 6600 or E8600
gigabyte ep35 ds3l or msi neo p45
4 gb (2*2gb)gskill 4-4-4-12 rams
saphire 4850 :)
 
if you won't overclock get a faster clocked dual.
4850 single slot will make your case hotter and will make a lot of noise if you use the fan hack but will be better in gaming so choose accordingly.
generic ram will be enough for a stock system,as for mobo i think 650i should support the 45nm dualies,check out with your mobo manufacturer night need a bios flash,and would run stock proccy's fine.

1-AMD Phenom 9850

2-Asus,Msi 790 MOBO

3- 2x2 800Mhz Gskill ram

4- AMD 4850 or Nvidia 9800GT GPU

5- 650w PSU Through Market Section

Proccy,mobo,memory and gpu will get through dealers paradise(Newegg).

Do suggest me if there is something better in that price bracket.

Is CM 600w Extreme/Cm650w enuf for this Config:-

1-AMD 9850BE or 9550 Proccy

2-Gigabyte 770 SB700 Mobo

3- 4850 or 9800GT GPU

4- 2x2 GB 800MHz Ram

Well as i wont be overclocking so i think i am better off with P35 chipset what say?

1-Q6600 or Q6700.Is Q6700 easily available?how much it will cost compared to Q6600?and how to know if its Go stepping or not?

2-Confusion=i have few options for Mobo all are P35 chipset-MSI P35 Neo2-fr, MSI P35 Neo3-f, Gigabyte GA P35-S3G, Abit IP 35 E all the chipset's are in 5k range.which one do you guys suggest?

3-Gskill F2 6400CL5S 2GBPQ-2x2=4GB DDR2 800MHz ram

4- 4850 GPU

5-CMPSU-450VX or CM Extreme Power 600w ?? Will these PSU suffice my need?

Will order most probably on monday through Amarbir[Chandigarh] (Dealer's Paradise) .

VX450 will be good enough , dont get CM600
better get 4GB transcend than 2gb g.skill
if u wont overclock get a G33 / G43 board , it has onboard too and will be useful in case u need to upgrade gpu or something .
get Q9400 its faster than Q6600 / Q6700 clock to clock .
also if u want Q9450 pm me i may sell mine :P

Well going for a external gpu Ati 4850 so dont think i need onboard grapix isnt it?

You got a awesome proccy and i am sure it will overshoot my budget but do let me know through pm how much it will cost me including shipping?

4- Corsair XMS2 2 x 2GB DDR2 800MHz

5- Corsair CMPSU-450VX PSU

6- Altec Lansing MX-5021

7- Samsung 953Nwx

Hii,My new rig has been working fine for the first time assembled and everything went fine/smooth and i got started.only problem i have is GPU Sapphire HD4850 temperature is 81*C even when i am not playing any games just normal surfing etc.fan speed is constantly 27% and i am not able to increase it.is this temperature normal for ATI 4850 gpu?if not then what i should do?
