i understand the toolkit

But you didnt get this protest .

People are protesting for working extra two years to get the pension .Not all have a desk job so imagine hard labor at 62 and to add two more years that's tough hence the protest .It also affects the young if the old people on don't retire than how will young get the the jobs.
France is not unique in this. I remember a time these people were protesting because they wanted four weeks of paid vacation instead of the standard three. August is when they go on holiday and the country is pretty much in its lowest working state then. I don't know many people in the English speaking world that can get away with that long of a vacation. Two weeks is tops and likely less the more senior

How will the young get jobs? stop being stuck in the past when France had the means to provide the benefits compared to today and start working longer. But see, this is an Anglo-Saxon idea and by default off the table.

Korea recently legalised a 69-hour working week to increase productivity. That is a really long. Think about that and where these people are.

The 1.1% will fear monger all. Merchants will pass this on. Either unknowingly or to fleece us. It took eons for brick shops to allow cc usage without 1%, now it's all over. My cash usage is 0 at the moment. Like literally 0. Unless a cop pulls over....

but koreans are protesting as well

and the vaccation concept i also wondered the same but dude .we also get holidays in bits and pieces which sums up to 20 odd days so their holiday request too is justified

rightly so .Government should put a yearly fee which the merchant might happily pay instead of 1.1 per transaction

Most people posting one-liner frustrations here didn't even bother to read the actual thing!
It clearly says about wallets only. They were interoperable with UPI which is now chargeable. Bank account-to-account transfer is not impacted by this change.
Now I don't know how many of you trust wallets like Paytm more so as to keep all your life savings in wallets rather than your account. If not then this does not impact you in any way.
Funny how nobody took you up :)

Still, you had to post despite @PradUp informative counters at the beginning.

Yours will be the standard answer to anyone who raises this 1.1% charge story trying to create the impression that it applies to everything narrative because people only read headlines and not content

Then see how the thread progressed. The vendors won't know. We will get charged anyway. Speculation.

HAH!

Can someone post if they got charged 1.1% even when using an account-to-account transfer?

That would be news.
