Hi everyone,
I bought a new UPS recently. I also have a digital inverter in my house that provides AC power backup in case there is no electricity. Now a UPS normally runs for a few minutes when there is no electricity so that we can shut down the PC properly in case of power failure. I have two questions in this regard.
Firstly, suppose i am working on my PC with (DC) electricity supply. Then when the current goes suddenly, my CPU shuts down automatically even if there is an inverter running in the house.
Secondly, i have heard that in case there is no (DC) electricity supply, a UPS should not get AC power supply from an inverter. Because doing so is harmful for the UPS battery. Is that true?
