PC Peripherals UPS Suggestions

Please suggest an UPS with minimum 5minutes of backup time for my config.

In this budget you wont get any UPS for your rig. Do go for any other brand since APC itself is not so good but the others are plain BAD.

I can suggest you the following UPS :

APC SUA1000I

APC BR1000-IN

From the above two, I would suggest you to get SUA1000I.

Okay in your budget, get one of these models --

APC BR-650VA IN ~ 2600/-,
APC BR-550VA IN ~ 1900/-,

I would say this model is over-kill in OP's case Sire.

I suggested that looking at this "Sapphire HD6850" which may lead to a max power draw of ~ 370W from mains and now add the LCDs draw(60W). Apart from that SUA1000I is a pure sine UPS too.

But since you're on a low budget don't go below APC BR-650VA IN .

Thank You for the suggestions. Would I get a better model if I increase my budget to 3k ? Also, I would be adding a 1TB HDD to my config soon enough.

if you want minimum 5 minutes of backup time you need to get the 1000VA ones.

The 650VA ups cant handle more that 330w of load in total and its just about 150w max on each outlet. so if you choose a 650va ups your ups will shutdown in a second on power loss.

I suggest to get either one of ups as listed by aman.
