PC Peripherals UPS switching off after some time, need help urgently

The UPS switches off automatically after some time.

The PC guy says that I'll need to buy another battery for 650/-

If I plug my CPU and Monitor plugs directly to the sockets, will they have a risk of being damaged during power-cuts and voltage fluctuations?

I have a Corsair 450W PSU btw

Guys, I need a solution really urgently my work project is in limbo right now.
 
What do you mean by the UPS switches off automatically after some time ?

It switches off when there is no power & the UPS is supplying the power to the CPU or even if the mains power is there the UPS swiches off ?

Monitor can be plug to surge protector if your UPS cannot back it up.

Battery may not be the culprit

Well i believe its switching off when it does a self test,if so the battery needs to be replaced .it may also happen if the load is just to much ,in that case connect the monitor to a non back up socket in your UPS or another wall socket.
 
How do I know which one's the non-backup socket?

Anyway, I got the battery changed, everything's fine now.
