i am going to purchase a new hardisk today.
i am confused between 500gb seagate 7200.12 and western digital 500gb blue.
which performs better. power consumption and noise is not an issue.
7200.12 is blazingly fast. But I think WD one has bigger warranty period. Given that seagate HDD failure rate has decreased now and the firmwares look lot more stable, I would suggest 7200.12
i also think the same.
in benchmarks they compete between western digital black and seagate 7200.12
so i think segate 7200.12 will beat western digital blue hands down.
