From the last few days my pc shutdown automatically.
I go to bios and enable system fan fail warning and saving to cmos.
It gives me a continuous beep.
And today when i see my pc health status cpu temp is 127..
After going on windows i had installed software speed fan 4.35 it also shows temp 3 (127 degree) while temp1 & temp2 is under 45
after successfully shutting down the pc .
Pc goes off but psu & heat sink fan spins
what should i do
plz reply me urgent

There is no need to create the same thread with different title.
As i mentioned before take the mobo out from the cabinet and start testing with a fresh HS and fan with a quality paste like cooler master MX2. If the rpm still shows zero then it could be a mobo fault.

Thermal paste is the best thing to check for. If the fans are running, avoid changing them right away, until u do some testing.

^^ as Axeman said apply Thermal paste.

Yesterday when i was setting up my frnd's pc i checked his system's temp in Bios and it was showing 82.

Applied Thermal Paste and reseated the heatsink and temp directly came down to 42 :P

Check if the heatsink has been fixed properly...screws tightened ...apply some thermal paste available in small packs....i wont recommend OCZ freeze or something like dat for any jurassic processor or if arent into overclocking

Man I feel something is seriously wrong. get a small bottle of IPA solution, clean around the mobo. Look for any traces of burnt resistor or capacitor. Clean the processor with the ipa solution and clean the heat sink and remove dust from the sink. Apply very thin layer of paste and fit against the heat sink.

Alternate way. Try to source another proccy from your friend circle and see if over heats or try to find a motherboard and see the processor over heats.

In my friend circle all are having either P4 or amd pc.

Should i check my psu

And from where i get ipa solution and how much it cost

I dont understand why it shows only 127 degree at bios why not 120 or 125 or less than that..

Or

should i update bios

That temp is ok. The 127 was in Fahrenheit. If it was 127C your comp wont go to load os.

Also check at what temp you set in bios for giving warning beep. Keeping too low setting might be giving the warning beeps continuously.

Edit: Have you connected any system fan to mobo 3pin connector?

thermal paste is overrated. i have been using my processor on my stock heatsink for almost 2 years without the stock goo and have reseated the hsf several times after cleaning it. never felt the need for aftermarket paste.

make sure you are installing the hsf correctly and there is no dust gathered inside the fins. If there is dust, just put it under a running tap. let it dry, apply thermal paste (if you have to :P) and install it.

dust matters more than the thermal paste.

Temp in bios is set to 60c
Pc boot successfully and i have used it for10 mins nothing happens by inserting pen drive and copied my data which is 3.36gb on my 4gb pen drive
even everest shows normal temp but speed fan shows 127c
should i format my pc or update bios
