by taking samples did u mean clicking the photos?..

Dear god where u folks live??...

here in tvm they dont even open the cover. :(
Yeah! I mean taking photos..

here at my place, if U go to some gray shop.. U can try almost every camera he has... all U need is to smell like a potential buyer :P

and if U go to exclusive show room (we only have Sony Center here.. no other cam brands came till now) U can use the cam to the damn f**king level.. do anything with it until u r inside the showroom.. all comes inside *test* :D

I guess not opening the box crap is in my city too, but limited to mobile phones..

^^

My last fuji was s1000 which was 3 years ago. after that canon sx120IS for a year. then for 2 years nothing.. now I use a canon 500D. or trying to use. :S

U wont go wrong with fuji that i am sure mate. all u need is a basic p&s. so get the best bang for buck one. simple.

and my dad is obsessed with sony wat to do , he says get a sony cam with li-ion battery , any good decent cams upto 10k in sony preferably or canon ??

daddyji's like sony and i hate it :P , suggestions wud be welcome though
Basicaly canon uses sony CCD sensor/ BSI CMOS sensors in their DSC cameras.

well if you don't mind used cameras try getting canon G range of cameras, they are build quite strong and comes with a larger sensor.

As far as fuji they came great cameras, although not all are better.

so finally have ordered the fuji av100 cam from ebay with 25% coupon, final cost rs 3120/- with pouch alone, no battery, charger or SD card

let s see wat it is , waiting for it anxiously

thanks for all the members here for helping me

yes it takes AA battery an i think the non rechargeable AA- cells wud be part of the package :P

i ll take 2gb SD card and eneloops with sanyo charge later, atleast another 1000 more to spend

How about posting some pics taken from this camera? If you do that, do it in a variety of conditions like less light, bright light, moving object, etc.

eBay India: SANYO 2700 ECO CHARGER WITH 2BATTERY+BILL+FREE SHIPPING (item 260674632756 end time 13-Oct-2010 08:00:00 IST)

shud i buy this or the normal sanyo eneloop 2000 Mah cells for my fuji cam,

wats d diff between the two, if some body can tell

thanks
congrats on your new camera.

First of all there are lots of fake ones out there.
If you want more shots/charge then get a battery with higher capacity. But if you want better battery life then get the eneloop, but you get 20 to 30% less shots/charge.

So if you use your camera rarely like for some functions or events i suggest you get the one with higher capacity.

You have other choices like Sony Green cycle energy batteries and blue cycle energy batteries(same as eneloop) ,just like sanyo their are lots of fake ones.So best to buy it in showrooms or Sony world.
