guys having problem with my rig.brought core i5 and msi p55 gd 85 mobo from a friend
after installing everything.my windows7 64 bit shows 4gb(1.99 gb usable memory)i have gskill 4gb(2x2) 1600mhz ram my mobo suppports 1333mhz native.at bios it shows both the ram with 1333 mhz.but i get only 1.99gb usable in windows7.for my mobo ram should be insert at dimm1 and dimm3,tried to run run single ram it worked at both dimm 1 and 3.tried second ram at dimm1 everything was running but no display.then tried same ram at dimm 3 system shutdowns after 3-5 seconds and restarts again|(with no display).tried this faulty ram on my friends system who had amd phenom 955 be and asus m4a 785.and ram worked without a problem
both of rams worked on my friends system it showed 4gb(3.2gb usable) he was using 32 bit windows 7.i tried use my working ram with friends who transcend 2gb 1333 mhz.my system showed 4gb(3.25gb usable) and i have 64 bit windows 7
EDIT:BTW this rams worked perfectly with my previous amd rig
