Laptops urgent! Need a dell lappy for my friend(45-60k)

My cousin plans to purchase a lappy from dell.Which one should he get? Cost between 45-60k.
Uses :- Will be using a software called trade tiger from sharekhan and also some gaming. So which one should he go for -- dell studio or dell inspiron and what configuration ??? What CPU, how much ram,gfx card etc,etc? Anything else i should know about??
 
well no studio 15 cos unlimited issues even dell dont know whats the problem. no xps 13 cos heats up a lot and out of budget . and no xps 16 cos out of ur budget and heats like hell and have vent block design issue. else go for any dell laptop just stay away from these 3. reason why ? u can read so many thread abt these 3 here and many other forums about issues and problem. well better try some other brand. cos apart from these 3 no other dell laptop have good or latest gfx. well u have few options like studio 14 which is having max option of 3450 256 gfx which is not good for games at all
inspi have no gfx just have onboard gfx.

If u want try HP dv5 1221tx and if u can get Hp 1015tx its gr8 cos both these laptops my friends are using from last few 3 to 4 months and its working gr8 no issues good gfx 9600gt and games runs like charm

Well everyone must be wondering why suddenly all against dell. Well they reduced the quality of new launch series so low. Till inspiron 1525 i loved dell a lot it was my 6th dell laptop along with 1501, 1520, d510, 1530,
but now from jan to may tried 4 diff laptops send back all 4 got refund. again order studio 15 sent back 2wice and still have same issues along with change is backlit keyboard 2wice.

Dell has lost its shine along with loyal customer because of 2 reasons. Bad product quality along with not at all reliable. config alone cannot sell things. and main reason why dell is wrose cos of awful and bad customer care where executives give blunt answers that they cannot do anything. even fight with customer abuse customer along with hang up phone without any issue.

From jan to may 4 refunds used xps 16. studio 15 twice, studio 17- no issue just have to send back reason config i order was diff from what they sent me.

still have same old issues of studio 15 like slight color issues along with non reliable as backlid keyboard changed 2twice cos it got burn due to heat within 1 month of laptop use. info i have not played any game on it till now

it's working nicely but not in terms of gaming !
u cannot expect a laptop costing 45k to stand on u'r new games:P

studio is a bit better than inspiron but certainly not the "paisa vasul"!

yes man issues are not with the old laptops like 1525 or that yr series. even inspi 15 is good. but current series like studio 15 and xps 16 are main crap with problems
 
My friend recently got an Inspirion 1545 model. it doesnt heat up much at all! Now comes with an option of adding ati dedicated graphics card(+3K) so you can buy this one(T6400,3Gb,320Gb and ati 3670 or soemthing) for 42K
 
my uncle has a studio 15 and he has been using from 2 weeks now ,so far he has no problems whats so ever nor has any heating issues,its running on windows 7 from the very next day of purchase.
 
How serious are the heating issues with studio 15? Does it heat up during normal usage or only during gfx intensive apps like games? Also what exactly are the issues with the screen/display? My cousin says he can live with less than average build quality. And he will be going for normal keyboard not backlid ones so no issues there.

And if he goes for Inspirion 1545, how much ram should he get ---3gb or 4gb? Will be running windows vista or XP
 
well the only problem i know with the screen is the glossy screen,build quality is acceptable its certainly doesn't match the dell latitude series,most users wont find it lacking in build quality unless they used the dell latitude or the lenovo W series,but u can live with it.about the backlight keyboard well from what i have seen it works flawlessly and comes realy handy.
about ram well 3gb would be fine for vista or even windows 7,but i 4gb upgrade price aint much.

It would be nice if u guys wud just list down your recommended laptops... (i also have similar requirements as smoky004... surfing the net and gaming)
