I just bought a Sapphire HD6870 and got home, as the GPU was quite big for my cabinet so I had to reaarrange my HDDs. I installed my GPu and turned the PC on but it wont boot. :(
On the monitor I can only see the T-series logo , the Del key for Setup doesnt work. Its pretty much stuck and I cant do anything. I tried switching my HDD cables, RAMs btu nothing seems to work.

What could be the problem here?

Well going by the only harware you added is your card, you may want to start by removing that.

THe basic Idea should be to start the PC with minimum hardware first and then build on it.

So remove everything. . Just leave 1 Stick of RAM, the OS HDD and let it boot.

Slowly add the HDDs, RAMs. . .and after that works add your card.

If Card is causing problem, It mite be PSU.

the psu is not the problem IMO

if you are using an ups you can try disconnecting it from pc and starting the pc from a raw direct line

Im using a voltage stabilizer, I'll try connecting the PC directly

please dont use the stabilizers,

many run of the mill ones do more harm than good

use a decent ups instead for daily use

Tired without the stabilizer, removed every cable from the motherboard, now just the one HDD and 1 RAm stick, motherboard power cable, CPu powercable, One 120mm fan, one CPU Fan with the Speaker (Inbuilt), Reset and Power cables attached to the motherboard, nothing else. But it still wont have any effect.

This might sound out of place, but try resetting the CMOS. Do a proper reset and then power on with all components.
How do I do that? :ashamed:

Switch off the PC, pull out the power cable from the socket, push the start button on the cabinet a few times to drain out any residual power. Now take out the CMOS battery and put it back after around 10-15 mins. And then try booting up.

^The CMOS battery is very tightly held, I fear I'll break the holders while trying to take it out.

WTH, everything was okay till today morning, what happened all of a sudden?

It might feel that way if it hasnt been taken out before. It wont break if you push it on one side, it should just slide out. Just give it a shot, it shouldnt be that hard.

Check ur mobo, it will have 3 jumper pins where 2 will be short.
Look carefully it will have something written near it like clear bios/clear cmos.
Next just remove the jumper and short the other two pins.

Refer mobo manual for more details on it

There is a lock in the cmos battery. A small metal clip holds it, push the clip away from the battery amd pull the battery, it will come out easilx :)

here is a screenshot :

Well it does have some effect, After doing that my PC made the boot sound twice and then progressed on to boot, then the screen came wherein we have to choose whether to launch Windows startup repair or Continue and it froze there and then
