^^ Ya right!! What is the US scared of? We have never done anything concrete in the past before so why worry so much. We will not do anything now either. Just sit tight, blame each other and move on with our respective lives!!!!

And really, what will India do exactly? Bomb Pakistan?? lol. Give me a break.
 
Well, attacking Pakistan is the last thing I would expect from my Govt. Remember Pakistan is a Nuclear capable nation.

IMO,

* they should seal borders,

* step up Intelligence,

* Enforce police reforms

* Take steps to terror groups are starved of funding and local support.

Please do not let lives of innocent people and security personnel go waste.

also india air force has been put on alert , moving those army from afghan border to indian border will not be liked by the usa ...so they will come in and try to resolve without the need for that ...which means asking us not to attack... but if we dont attack this time , then the public confidence will be broken... lets see how it unfolds
 
As we discuss this.....Home Minister has resigned...can take care of his wardrobe collections now...

US will not allow India to go after pakistan along LOC...it has its fair share of problems along the pakistan-afghan border..moving pakistani troops to LOC will hurt them bad..with Obama taking over and huge anti-war lobbying behind him..it will b difficult for India now..only thing India can do as of now is have a close watch abt those crossing the borders...air,land and sea..

I think the most reasonable solution is for the US to intervene and tell Pak to give *all* details of terror camps, and allow a joint Indo-Pak operation to eliminate them.

I know this is probably unthinkable, but if US puts pressure then it just *might* happen.

Full fledged war? Umm not sure if that's a very good idea cause Pak is quite trigger happy to launch a Nuke.
 
Pakistan clearly can't handle its own people, and it doesn't even matter if they keep killing each other (Benazir Bhutto), but when it affects other countries, something needs to be done. Nukes or no nukes, just because they have it we have to just stand back and do nothing and let them attack us again and make a mockery out of India?

Too little, too late. Politicians should be punished if they have found to be responsible of mis-doings. What's the big deal in resigning? We have accountability everywhere, why leave out the ruling class?

On topic, if the US is so worried, why don't they take pre-emptive action in Pak? It is a failed state, the military runs the Government, it has WMDs and god knows, Pakistan is a country that really need stabilisation. If they could topple Saddam who at least didn't breed terrorism, why can't they topple the Pakistani military establishment and usher TRUE democracy and stability there? Oh, wait, Pakistan really has WMDs.

Sometimes, I really think that the USA is the one really responsible for the sh*t we all face. Oh, Pakistan and India both have their fault lines, but who is it that is really funding the ISI and the Pakistani military?
 
what a joke india attacking pakistan.our political establishment does not have the spine nor the will to do it.blame pakistan, talk tough, move some troops here and there,ask pakistan to do the same,sell more newspapers,more impotent discussions on t.v saying what we should do and should not do,more celebrities coming in and saying ooooooh i was supposed to be there and all that bullshit.guys relax nothing is going to happen.just take care of urselves if u see some nasty character opening his bag just be ready to leg it.don't be under the false illusion of mera bharat mahan and all that crap.nothing is going to change in this country.

just being cynical as i cannot do anything.if i try to do something the whole system conspires to put me down.
 
We are and probably will always be a country of all talk and no work. Someday someone in techenclave will be dead and we will be posting stupid 'rip' messages and telling ourselves that it is allright and the peace process should go on.

p.s I would rather have a violent Narendra Modi as my pm then an incapable one who is unable to protect us

well the primary reason why US will not attack Pak is that they have nukes,which is why israel want to attack Irans nuke reactors before they can make nuke weapons.
 
The danger is that we will become reconciled with terrorism just as we have with corruption.

And our porus coastline. After a few days things will be back to nomal. Drugs will still land in India from paksitan, the people will continue to be paid to look the other way. And the infrastructure will remain intact for another fidayeen attack.

There are solutions and other countries have implemented them with some success but in India the political will is simply not there. They will keep discussing about the root cause of terrorism.

Isn't that what I said :huh: ? Anyways, war is not really an option for anyone except psychopaths like the ones who attacked us. But the reason Pakistan (maybe some rogue elements, if not the complete political leadership) has the time and money to support terrorism is due to the fact that the US finances their whole economy. If aid stops, they would have no option but to start working for their food (and guns/ bombs etc). As a hard working person myself, I know u can't take out time to fight ur neighbour when u have to make it in time for the office. And if they still persist in terrorism without grants and aid, they'll implode and destroy themselves.
I do believe that if Israel and the US really want, they can make it very difficult for Pakistan to go on as now. They don't even have to shoot anyone. Just stop the flow of all those covert aid/ weapons/ training and give the common Pakistani a voice.
