Usenet - Discussion thread

Sorry for bumping up an old thread, but I have been getting abysmal download speeds with Eweka and Newshosting. I am on ACT fibernet. Has anyone else been getting low download speeds lately or is it just me? On a good day I get 150 mbps max on a 500 mbps connection. And the speeds remain low throughout the day so the problem isn't tied to other users at home using up all the bandwidth either.
Try increasing no. of connections to 50 each for eweka & newshosting & put both of them at same priority 0 in sabnzbd.

yeah Omicron's been having trouble with bandwidth these days, even on my seedbox, though in your case it might just be peering issue, Omicron is based out of NL Iirc

Omicron is US based, though they have servers in NL but their main datacentres are in US. Eweka is natively EU based though with only NL servers. Main issue with users here is poor peering/congestion (especially during 7-11pm) even to EU which likely has overall better peering with India compared to US. Btw which seedbox are you having issues with & where is it located.
