Directed by Shinji Mikami, VANQUISH is a sci-fi shooter of epic proportions with a fast, fluid and frenetic combat system, and an engaging and immersive storyline. Players take the role of Sam, a government agent kitted out with a futuristic battle suit, in a near future world where nations war over the planet's remaining energy resources. A versatile fighter with a huge arsenal of weaponry at his disposal, Sam also has an array of martial arts skills that he can use to take down his robot enemies.

The story of VANQUISH is set in the near future. Russia and the United States are vying for ownership of the world's fast-depleting energy resources and the US has constructed a space station in order to harness energy from the sun. Russian forces capture this space station and divert its harvested solar energy into a blast wave that destroys San Francisco, aiming to force the US into a total and unconditional surrender. In response, the US tasks its armed forces with recapturing the space station before the Russians can annihilate their next target - New York.

WOOT! If you haven't played the demo, then curse yourself. It's probably the fastest sci-fi action TPS title which is going to be released. It's like Lost Planet 2 on steroids. This is coming from the director who gave us Resident Evil 4 & God Hand and from the development house which blessed us with Bayonetta. Expecting a long campaign for this one too and kick-ass boss battles. ;)

I am waiting for this game with baited breath. Just look at the trailers and understand what I am saying. Its going to be one of the fastest Third Person Shooter games of all time. WOOT!

Have you tried the demo? It's only 400-500 odd MB's and fully worth it. One boss battle + smaller carnage = EPIC.

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

As per game informer boss fights come early but the campaign is only about 5 hours.

If this turns out to be a 4 hour (or so) campaign, then in the words of Russell Peters "Somebody Gonna Get a Hurt Real Bad".

Has anyone tried the PS3 demo yet? If yes, then can you confirm if the graphics are shrap and not blurry? I was hoping PG would have improvised on the full game for the 360 version. It looks really dull. Anyway, the missions are very short and with only 5 Acts in total, I'd say this is well on it's way for contending with MOH's SP campaign length.

The visuals were better than Quantum theory, that's all i can confirm :p

I played he demo on PS3, and I really liked the fluid gameplay, but the cutscenes were meh...IMO...but can't say about the Full Game though :p
