Vanquish - Discussion Thread

Completed it today evening. Awesome game but very very short. Done in 2 straight sittings in the normal difficulty mode in 4 hours and 30 minutes - so yes it IS a short game. The game is fast paced and felt like GeOW on steroids. Frame rates kept dropping at times, textures were pretty good, voice acting was okay'ish (just like any other game from the Jap devs), the usual arsenal - shotgun, assault rifle, rocket launcher, grenades (EMP and the explosive), lock-on laser etc and the ability to upgrades. Pretty short though.

Loved every bit of it although the end was very much predictable. :p
 
Wow, the most daring game of the year total non stop action this in shooter and Bayonetta in Combat
 
So no one else played the game, its chaos everywhere in the game.

Anyone knows how do i go into AR Mode while jumping ? I saw some of the videos showing that.
 
AR mode will jumping? How could he possibly do that? The slo-mo ensues while he is in air? :S

I hope you know how to manually trigger AR mode and not when you lost your health completely?
 
Do you think size determines the length of the game ? BTW its one of the best over the top action game
 
Sometimes yes. Mostly not.

Done with the 1st boss fight yesterday. Its was awesome. BTW i'm playing it in hard difficulty because i don't want the game to end too soon.

Yeah that should somewhat prolong the gameplay by a bit. I play most games in the normal difficulty mode and this one happened to end real quick!
 
Just finished the game on hard difficulty. Boy o boy! Isn't this game EPIC! I really surprised and disappointed that this game won "best game no one played" award. :(
Its a must play. 9.9/10

i'm playing this game on the ps3 in hard mode...i'm now somewhere in the middle of act 4 ....and man i regret playing it in hard mode :mad:
some parts of the game are really challenging and really fun to play
but the voice acting sounds too damn cheesy
but overall a fantastic game
this is one good game that many ppl missed out last year
 
Game over.

Very short, but a very good game, with an ending I didn't like a lot sadly. Finished it in 4 hours 45 minutes.

The credits were also really innovative, gotta say!

8.25/10 from me, in 2013.
