Hi,
I have one VCD, that I cannot make copy/image; copy protection I guess.
The MPEGAV folder is read-only. So if I try to explore the folder, it says "not accessible. The folder was moved or renamed".

Even CD imaging with Nero does not work; it cannot read the data.

Any idea how I can crack this?

i too had a VCD and tried copyin' all the .dat's.

But in the middle of the copying process, it got stuck and gave the Cyclic Redundancy Error. Itz a common way of preventing copies..

But, i tried copyin the same in another computer running XP SP1. There, it worked nice..Itz a simple trick. thereafter i copy VCDs to that computer running XP SP1 and then use a USB Drive to transfer it to my computer which runs XP SP2...:hap2:

its best to extract the mpeg data using isobuster instead of copying the .dats

btw, its legal to maintain a backup copy if you own the vcd.

crc errors may even occur if you have a scratched disk

Before starting new thread, check threads at least ones! There are so many threads & replies regarding the same!

Use Alcohol 120% with RMPS option. :cool2:

Ya, I have seen that post. But Alcohol 120% is not a freeware, right? I have run out of the trial period. So wondering if there was some free option.
