For the past 4-5 days i am facing an issue with my laptop. Apparently for no reason (AFAIK), the Fan in my laptop starts making sudden high sound, thats because it is rotating at a very high speed. But i dont get the reason for this.
This goes on for say 5-6 seconds and again it is back to normal.
The sound is quiet scary as it tends to be very high many a times.
My notebook does get quiet hot and hence i lift the same from left side (where the fan is located) using a marker pen or so. But as far as on the software front, there is nothing extra or high CPU consuming running and also at home just flashget and firefox are running. But many a times as i just slide my finger over the touchpad to move the mouse cursor the fan suddenly starting zooming at very fast speed (evident from the loud sound)
What are the probable issues ?
I cannot do anything from my end for this as it is my company laptop and not mine.
