I am looking for a <1.5k router that has good penetrating signal strength. The house is old with super think walls (1.5 feet, no not kidding). Made a rough sketch to give some idea of the dimensions (feet).
There is a CAT5 cable running from the r0uter to the desktop, I would like ideally to cover rooms 1,2,3 mainly with WiFi without moving the position of the router.
So far, been using a Buffalo G125 which has served will for 5+ years, but didn't have a sustained signal at room 1 and the end of room 2.
Only N and 2.4ghz should suffice.
ddwrt compatibility would be a plus, but not necessary.
