0-20k VFM low cost Data Archival/Backup System ? What do you do?

The ongoing conflict made me realize the pitfalls of cloud storage. You might loose access to them due to a lot of reasons outside of your control.
Thus I am considering creating a local redundant backup/archival system.

Plan to use rclone to sync with Google Drive / One Drive / etc. Havent figured out the rest yet. Any other recommendations on the software front. What do you do?

I also have a second pc with 200GE and A320m. Should I buy internal HDD and create a RAID system. Is it possible to run TrueNAS or something like that and also use the 2nd pc with windows (at the same time?)?
Or Get multiple External HDD and create redundant backups?

My total data size target is 2GB (I hope to bring it down to this). But 4TB would be optimum in the long run.

I am thinking of getting a 4TB external HDD (with one more for redundancy in the future). But the whole CMR SMR thing is confusing me.
My old 1TB external hdd (Segate Backup Plus) seems much more reliable than the newer 1.5TB I have (Segate Expansion Drive). No relocated sectors on the former.
