dunno why is this happening all of a sudden

when i try to watch a video in any format and in any player

after some 2-3 mins the audio comes before the video and subs and slowly the time gap is widened

does any one have any solution for this

which is happening?

Video and Subs going faster than audio OR the audio comes before the video and subs?

what happens is that audio just messes up its pace and comes up before the video or the subs of that particular conversation comes up

errr sorry messed up in the title as well

Try playing the video file in VLC.

were the files playing properly and this has started to happen now.

are all the videos that you have playing in a similar manner or just a few.

hmmm it started to happen recently

and i suspect it will even happen in vlc despite of me having a plethora of players

i have

realplayer, zoom player, quick time, divx, core media player and vidmex besides the media player and media player classic

i am playing from my hdd

lolz lolz

after a bit of investigation and installing and uninstalling some softwares finally got the core of the problem :cool2:

its that damn shitty lot of files that doing it

sorry to have jumped onto conclusions without researching on my on

thanks for support everyone

looks like i gotta convert those files

Most likely, it's due to codec conflicts. Some codecs are of poor quality and they take preference for use when a new AV playing s/w is installed.

Sometimes, changing codec preferences in Media player classic(or any s/w that uses shared codecs) solves the problem.

if it's a codec problem then shouldn't it play okay in VLC player ?? After all VLC player doesn't use any outside codec ??

BTW, ultima what files were those (.mkv. mpg, etc, etc) and again how did you exactly resolve it ??

use GOM player i think u can increase or decrease audio timeline there ...

so u can match up with u r video
