Graphic Cards Video Card advice needed

I have bought a Viewsonic va1912wb-4 monitor, now my board (a8v - vm) is not supporting the resolution of the the mointor (1440 x 900), so I think I need to get a video card. Please advice me which one to get.
I want cheapest one. I don't play games. I play video in the pc. Video is not nice to look now, I think a video card wil solve this issue.
Advice me, Please.

Anyways, how much is ur budget? I think u shud get atleast a 7300GT(4.5k)..or better get a 7600GS(5.5k) or the best option in this price wud be 8500GT (6k) for HD video..

If it has to be the cheapest, get the 6200...it shud be around 2k...:)

I don't have a budget for this, I am forced to buy this now.
The cheapest one you have mentioned, is it good for video viewing and for better display of regular use ??
 
imho, dont get the 6200 now..doesnt make sense..and since u are saying tht u dont really have a budget means, u can spend around 4-6k, then i think 8500 GT is ur best bet...buy it with ur eyes closed...or else get a 7600GS..am using it..the best bang for buck..:)
 
Im pretty sure the 6100/6150 onboard should give you a res of 1440x900..there shouldnt be a need to buy a card.

Buddy, he's got an A8V-VM..it has a Via Deltachrome Gpu and not nvidia 6100/6150..;)

^^ Via Deltachrome Gpu is the one I have got.
I don't the 1440 x 900 option in it.
is there a way I can use the on board graphics card to obtain 1440 x 900?
 
Guys, how about a XFX PCIe Gf 7200 Le 256mb, I think its around 3k, will it do the job for me?
I am not a gamer, I dont play game at all.
which brand should I buy?
Zeebronics, XFX, ASUS ???
brands make any differance?
 
IMO any AGP must support 1440x900...if not for gaming atleast for XP desktop.

did u install the viewsonic drivers?

If u didn't the 1440*900 res will not show up in the display properties.

EDIT: See the 3rd line of my sig for proof that it should work.
 
^^ yes I have installed viewsonic drivers, even then the 1440 x 900 option is not there.

I have bought a 7300 gt 256mb card yesterday. Rs. 4350, delta, chennai.
It supports 1440 x 900 now.
Still I am not alble to see the pictures and movies in good resolution. My CRT was better. I have tried tuning the lcd lot of times. guys advice me on this.
