Please guide me in setting up my HTPC. The 1080p and HD content playback is not smooth as I can observe I am not letting the IGP to do the decoding.
What codecs needs to be installed so that 1080p/24 and other HD content is smoothly played on it.
What is the way to configure the codecs?
Phenom X3n 8450
Asus 780G Mb
2 gb 800mhz ram
640 GB 32mb buffer Seagate

Check out the 22nd post on this page and all ur HD playback worries will be blown away...

If et all, u don't want to use Media Player Classic, u can use CoreAVC for HD decoding through Windows Media Player 11. It runs fine, just that the CPU utilization would be a little high say ~30-40% when playing 1080p.

But the image quality i find it better in Windows Media Player than Media Player Classic. Check which one u find better :)
