I have a Viewsonic VG2021m 20.1" LCD monitor for sale. It is little over two and half years old, but was barely used by my father for a few hours a week.

It is a rare 4:3 monitor, so in terms of visual space, it seems bigger than a new 22" widescreen monitor that I have now. In perfect condition and in original box and packing, no dead pixels. The date of purchase was 24th Nov 2006, so there is still two months of warranty left on this.

I would like to sell this in Bangalore itself so that there is no hassle with shipping. Price reduced to 8k, I will sell to the best offer I get by tonight.

Please don't flood the thread with your offers, PM me and we will take it from there.

not crapping your thread, but you should first check market price for 20" and 22" monitors.

check primeabgb for monitor prices.

I absolutely know the current prices and just got a Dell 23".

People who need a 4:3 LCD will pay a premium for it even today as these are not available even if you are willing to pay extra. Even I paid a premium to get it two years back as my father did not want a 16:9.

Remember that a 20.1" LCD at 4:3 gives a lot more real estate to people who want more height than width.

Mods, there is no consistency here. I created a thread, crazy_eddy closed it saying the image needs a photo with handwritten id. One of the suggestions in the thread was to write the ID on a paper and put it before the box. So I take a image of the box with the handwritten id (and unfortunately opened a new thread as I was not sure how to open a closed thread) and it gets closed saying the photo of the product is missing !!!

Whew. What next ?

It's simple

1) Everytime you start a market thread, make sure it has photos of the product(s) you intend to sell.

2) To ensure that the product is actually yours / being sold by you and not some random picture off the internet that doesn't really show the condition of the item for sale, TE made it mandatory for everyone to mention their TE user id's on a piece of paper and have it be seen in the photgraph of the product for sale.

3) Opening and Closing threads are part of the FAQ that is posted in the Market Rules and Regulations section. You ought to read it.

Click on iTrust on your main menu bar and then click on Market Watch

Simple rules really. Follow that and you'll be on your way to a smooth sale.

LMAO!! hahahahahahahah!! you need to put up a picture of the LCD with your TE ID handwritten on a paper.

The rule may seem strange to you but its there to protect the buyer. Hope you understand :)

@vinayaga: I can understand it can be a little frustrating, but that's why it's best to read all forum rules before involving yourself in any kind of forum activity.

I don't know if the current picture of your name next to the box would be approved by mods, but to be on the safer side (and to put the prospective buyers in safer side also) always take picture of the actual product rather than its accessories or box. It only saves your time and efforts from unpacking/repacking the whole thing which could be your case if mods don't approve it.

GL with your sale. :)

Yeah, but the herd mentality does not allow anyone to pause and think for a minute. I have a few PM's from members asking if Im aware of market prices ! If you watch native TV, browse or work more than you see movies on the computer, nothing beats a 4:3 monitor !

Anyways, price reduced to 8k ! :(

A 4:3 monitor will have some 40% more screen real estate than a 16:9 monitor.
