WTF!! :O
I thought till sometime back, dealers said AMDs ran hotter.

For 2.5K odd, Seventeam 450 or maybe that Gigabyte Superb 460 (iirc) Chaos had mentioned. :)
The seventeam, ST-450-BKP is a dual rail psu rated 18amps per 12v rail iirc- same like the 500W big bro but slightly lower 3.3v and 5v.
(Please check/confirm model number and specs before buying.)

Speaking in general-
This may be the 50th time i am posting this??
Why don't people use 'SEARCH'.

Ahaha- maybe the 'cheaper, the better' bug will never go. :p
People seem to travel out of India for work/pleasure, have 15-20 K for gfx cards, quads and what not but not 2.5-4K for a decent psu though good ones can be found for that much now. :(
Plus they will want to OC on stock cooler and iball 400W psu and the likes- waah.
And there was a time when a decent psu here was no less than 5-7K odd. :p
Get what Bikey dada quotted ! Seven team is pretty nice. .But Rahul I am still saying do not risk that premium card on $^^!ty PSu's

The Gigabyte 460W / Seventeam 45oW at arnd 2.5k is good to go with 8800GT. try to source the gigabyte as it has active PFC :) and better efficiency as its an FSP OEM Psu. Btw recommending a HX 520 for such use is lame....fisrt of all its not available and next it will be as exp as 6k :p....an 8800GT with a quad core at max consumes arnd 250W with moderate OC on the CPU

I recently bought CM Xtreme 600W from ITDepot (directly from their chennai store) for 3150

Just extend ur budget a bit, so u have a very reliable branded PSU of 600W (future proof also)

Dont go for unknown/local brand. PSU's can make or break ur entire system, let alone a gfx card
