My old trusted cell 6610i has its display gone kaput after Tuesday's visarjan..:(

Actually had d cell in pocket but during visarjan it rained n i forgot in Visarjan masti tat i had cell in my pocket(but was in plastic:) )..so after returning home,I realised d blunder...:ashamed:

Now it has no display(slight ray of light appears;) ) but keypad lights r fine n working.Only d display is not proper but cell is still i nworking condition ie. I can make calls(provided I no d no.:S ),recieve calls n get to know tat iam recieving msgs(thanx 2 vibration:D ) but cant see..

So wat do I do...:huh:

Damn my second cell goin kaput after my 1100..:@ (though dis time just display)
 
the local repair guy will fix it

try the mobile repair shop outside khar (west) station, hez gotta a good reputation in fixing celll phones

goin to khar for repairin my cell not possible..:P (me near navi mumbai)

Actually i needed to no whether can I transfer My msgs n contacts onto my PC using PCSUITE before goin to service centre where I guess all this wud be lost...:(
 
remove the battery
remove the body panels
put it in a plastic bag
tie the plastic bag behind ur house "fridge"
leave it there for 2-3 days :)
the heat there will gradually drain out the moisture.....

* to be tried at ur own risk :).....personally used method of 2-3 cellphones and works perfect :)
* u need to have a 'old' fridge which works on those old compressors which have that grill thingie at the back.

if not this.....

ask ur mom / sis to lend their hair dryer....
wrap the phone in a hanky with the batt and body removed.....
blow it

if not this.....

take it to a cellphone repair shop....
Rs.75 for servicing :) get stuff cleaned and stuff.......

^^ fastest fix ...did it last week when water entered my phones keypad :)

But for connectivity i got only two options Infrared and using Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable CA-42,which I guess is different from the normal Nokia Connectivity Cable CA-53 rgt...:(

So can I use Nokia Connectivity Cable CA-53(wich i guess is d common one) instead of Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable CA-42...;)
 
color screen change is 650...so this mono screen for 400 with labour n stuff is cool.....try a lil bit here n there or ask him to service ur entire phone cleaning and stuff with their solution n stuff in that much :)
 
Just remove the battery and dont use the phone for some days. Keep it under A Direct Bulb, Sunlight. Try this for 2 3 days if it gets working again fine otherwise Repair is the only option for you.

Yes you can use the cable provided to you with phone for data backup. Whts the point of providing seperate cable for tranfering or backing up data???

And if you have knowledge about Window mobile phones you can reply in my thread too...:)
