Vista and yahoo messenger

i was about to install vista i need to know..

in vista yahoo mssgr vista version does it have the "join a chat room" option...???

Yes vista version of Yahoo IM doent got the oPtion to join a chat room.but u can install the version 8.1

you mean latest non vista version of yahoo mssgr is installable on vista.. i didnt knew that.. earlier i could not install xp version of messenger on vista...

are you sure.. that saves a lot of pain as i hate the yahoo vista version... glossy looks and all...

You can install the normal Yahoo Messener v8.1 or 9 beta on vista too. It is officially supported.

I recommend Yahoo Mess 9 beta. The current beta is very stable and better than 8.1

Vista version scuks only loooks no features...:S Go with 9 beta...

It was one of the first mainstream apps to come out in the WPF Vista only edition. The looks and UI are sleek and nice. But the features development has been slow for some reason.
Atleast lets applaud Yahoo for the effort. Otherwise, even MS has not added WPF to its app uptil now!
