vista sells 244 copies in china

Whilst Microsoft was bragging about the sales number of their latest OS Windows Vista, few would actually know that they have only managed to sell 244 copies in the whole of China in the first 2 weeks. You heard that right, and that's the number quoted from the headquarters of the Windows Vista chief (90% national volume) distributor in Beijing

i wonder how many people who got assembled pcs in india got vista....
 
lol thats actually funny.

About india part, its much much much more than that. must be multiples of thousands if not more. Even i have 2 legit vista installs here :P
 
thousands of copies may be with branded pcs im wondering about the guys who get their pcs assembled or buy it from the local computerguys..
 
For some time, ill stick to xp..but here here,i read that we will have to say AstalaVista to XP in 2008!! any news about that?!
 
MS should keep the support for XP on till at least 2010....even if they don't, no one is stopping you from using XP legitimately till as long as you want

I THink they will .. win 98 support stopped a yr or 2 back
 
Duh most of the copies sold are OEM bundled with branded PC's only few people have purchased Vista..After all it will take some time for WOW factor to make its ground :ohyeah:..
 
^yes its mostly bundled with the branded pcs. i dont think much people will buy it willingly in india.. lol

er.. OEM or retail pack, its still paid software :)
so, even if it were OEM copies of Vista sold, that means ppl have 'purchased' it

:rofl: :rofl: :rofl: I mean companies selling branded computer sold those still most of the people aren't aware of word Vista :P and those who are some are not interested and some did not have capable system.. Thats why nearly 90% of Vista sold is bundled with Branded PC's people aren't ready to pay that premium price of 10k :P for OS in a country like India where most of us get Pirated stuff for 10-200 RS :rofl: :bleh:
