Vodafone trials in Hyd...these are the speeds I got on my atrix for the last 3 days

With 3G i believe speed test is not a right indication of what the network is capable of. At least that is the case with BSNL/MTNL 3G. Better try with a private tracker well seeded torrent or an IDM download from a premium account or some direct download (where server does not cap the speed).

i have a question about vodafone 2G/3G data plans that i didn't think was worth creating a new thread for.

i have been using the vodafone 2G plan (111 rupees per month, 2gb data) for a while now. i activated their 3G services yesterday (97 bucks, 100 mb). obviously, when i enable mobile internet on my phone, it goes to the 3G connection. however, i've been charged for the 2G connection as well for this month so is there any way to activate that too? and will both of these services be charged monthly if i don't cancel the 2G one? ideally i'd like to be able to shift over to 2G if and when my 3G quota expires, but i'm assuming that won't happen automatically (since they want to charge 10 rupees per extra mb if i go over the limit).

so yea, in short

1. will i keep getting charged for both plans if i don't cancel one of them?

2. is there any way to enable the 2G connection after the 3G quota for the month is completed?

Whats the best iPhone friendly Data Plan for Vodafone (my primary/current ISP) or any other Competitor ISP in India.. specifically Bombay.. ? I wouldnt mind getting a 2nd pre or post paid SIM just for Data..

i am also looking for cheaper 3G BB plans from Vodafone...by the way have ya got any calls from Vodafone guys asking you to move to 2G in Mobile Network Options in BB if not subscribed to 3G ?

I don't get any calls from Vodafone CC or whatever because of that DND thing i applied for. The cheapest BB plan on any carrier is rs 399/month.
