Vostro alternative

Hi,

I need to buy a laptop for a friend. It needs to be lightweight and with a nice battery life.
I'm thinking about Dell Vostro laptops but I need to know what other options I have.
Can anyone suggest a good alternative ?
The budget is max 35k

are you looking at the vostro v13?
vostro v13 is ver slim and light weight. its thickness at highest point is 1.97 cm and weighs only 1.59kg.

But battery lasts just under 3.5 hrs in normal usage and under 2 hrs in heavy usage.

If you are looking for a laptop with good battery life, look at the acer timelinex series. But you won't get the solid aluminium body like vostro v13.
