This be weird. Somehow I felt entries in the 'Standards 1-3' segment were far better than the other 2 segments :S. How's that possible?

Did Google mess up the segments/entries?

Also, kids till 3rd grade cannot have that level of maturity in art. Smell something fishy here. Nevertheless, voted..

exactly. the pic linked in the op is supposedly by some kid in the first standard. yea right..

agree.. loads of those pics looked fishy..

not to mention, whats it with the themes? Its almost as if they were divided into groups and each group was given ideas on what to draw, like the Qutub for the L in google, the religious thingy.. gandhi walking with his stick thingy, etc.

Haven't you seen taare zameen par? :P If that dyslexic kid can make such drawings, I am sure these kids can. :P Moreover these are the best of the best. These kids are obviously very talented.

wow.. don't you know everything about dyslexia :hap2:.

Sarcastic or not, that comment was in very bad taste. If it was sarcasm, I'm sorry for you, if it wasn't, I'd request you to see this

^Stop it both of you already! :|

1st std or not, some of those images looked very good! :)

^It was a Joke. No offense meant to any dyslexic people. My point was that there is no shortage of talent in India. The kids who made those drawings are obviously much more talented than your average 7 year old kid.

There is no way a 7 year old made that - regardless of skill, that kind of visualization is really uncommon at that age. Maybe they can copy something like that but I am sure someone else came up with it. Obviously the parents pitched in, just like with homework.

Hey Friends,

I also voted for Doodles which were meant to be featured on Google.com Homepage some months back. They were also just awesome. :)

I don't think there's anything fishy here as Nothing is Impossible :D

India, my motherland is a place of unity and diversity. This is a place where people live accommodatingly by means of human attachment. We, the tiny tots, invite you to join with us and celebrate all walks of our life. The instrument is playing in the midst of nature. Let’s enjoy and cheer up.

I seriously doubt a 1st grader knows what accommodatingly means or is spelled . From what i guess schools just sent in pictures made/conceptualized by older students .

Could be. And could we stop showcasing Gandhi's silhouette with his walking stick everytime we want to showcase India? It's become trite/commonplace now.

especially the last one! It's impossible that a 7 year kid has come up with that!! If they truly have, it's unbelievably good. Voted nevertheless :)
