As a lot of us know, gauravt has worked a lot on getting hold of sooo many EP 630's for all of us , and worked real hard to patiently wrap and pack and courier them to us , and he's still at it

for those of you who came in late :

GO: Creative EP630 at 880/- bux +shipping

The magnitude of the deal has been on a much greater scale than most GO's , esp the quantity bit, cos no one will take the pains to ship 71 :S odd pieces to everyone

This guy deserves some sort of commendation, beyond reps , so i propose that at least he be coming months MOTM :)

recognition cant be purchased it can only be earned.

i am not against gauravt but he has to shine above the rest of members.

afaik MOTM is site prerogative decided by staff not by members and i am happy with it.
 
MOTM is a way of appreciating members who have contributed nice reviews/articles and useful news items and interesting threads in the forums. The same holds true for both thexfactor as well as Dark Star.

I do appreciate the the effort taken by gauravt in providing a massive GO and taking the pains to ship the stuff to the members, but I still do not think this would be the right way of recognizing his efforts. May be reps from all 71 members who got the products from him should be a nice way of appreciating his effort.

Coz since the inception of TE, there are lotsa ppl who are in queue as there was no MOTM thingie then, if you consider GOs.
Switch with his awesome cpu GOs, Darklord with his, Funky with his SW GOs that fetch lesser mortals unreachable stuff, ...
just to mention a few.
Lotsa more good deeds and GOs happen behind the scene as members begin to know each other better and need not resort to TE to communicate.:)

And there is one extra ordinary chap who's GOs on TE are just 10% of the GOs/SOs* he does- i mean the loads of stuff he ships and the effort he takes to provide ppl all over the nation with what they want, for nothing.
Bah... maybe a lil ice cream or Pizza from local pals but the rest get it free.:P
He even bleeds for his friends.:O :rofl:

There have been other GOs and i hope people on the receiving end must have felt the same as you.:)

The people i have named, missed naming or shamelessly am forgetting to recall, though their contribution cannot be missed, are those who made/make what TE is today.

And though guaravt did a super job with the GO (And to an extent, Deepak also should get credit for it), and i understand you must be overwhelmed by his act, bumping him for nomination over all others will be injustice to them- i.e. if GO's are considered a criterion for MOTM.

Once again- Two thumbs up and all the way up for guaravt.:hap2:

Procuring the pieces is one thing. Shipping them to 71 locations is something that deserves a commendation. I imagine it to be quite frustrating to collect and print the addresses. There are people who will talk the talk but people like gauravt who actually venture and do something for the community need to be rewarded.
I second the sentiment to make him MOTM.
