It matters? You are among the most optimistic people I have seen!!

I have tried to get a voter ID card 3 times already!! All 3 times they took the pic and did all the other shenanigans and then promptly lost the card that was created! I have been to the tehsildar's office but to no avail.

I think my vote is going to be a zomby vote this time.:@ :@ :@

it does matter !!! co now you can decline ur vote. If u do not even go to the voting centre, somebody might vote on ur behalf.

we can atleast prevent Bogus Voting. I have told many of my friends this and they are going to vote this time (or decline...)

Soon if majority of people decline their votes, then we might see the re-elections on those centers with better candidates. NGOs are working to get such a bill passed.

Think about it.

Losers always whine about there efforts, while the winner go home and f*** the prom queen ( The Rock ).
Dude its all about doing it, if you haven't done it then you have no right even talking about it.

All and all I have seen so many folks talking about this country going to trash, but when the time has come, they all tucking there tails in and giving excuses. Why? When you haven't even taken a step?

Well the jaago re website,

Allows you to fill in the forms and everything,

it even shows you which consituency you are from etc..

all technical details have been provided,

it even shows to whom and where you need to go and submit the forms to.

I have done my part..

You gotta do yours...

As for declining your vote, there bill does not exist, and I dont think any politition would be happy to see this Bill in the parliament ;)

Guys take a chance if you have too.

Vote this time...

I would really be happy to see some youngh blood this time...

Gandhi, Jindals,Abdullah etc.....

Come to think off... I got my voted ID card within 2 months from the time the Voter Commissioning people came and filled up my form, pity... all my details were wrong....

My Surname, Address, Fathers Name... all of them were mispelled...

@LT --- I'm not tucking my tail in. I'm not giving excuses. I dont want to vote for criminals. Pure and simple. I'm optimisitc but realistic. I'm not a fool.

Do you really think that if I go and vote to NOT VOTE, things will change? No it wont. There are hundreds of millions of idiots voting for some criminal or the other. What's the point?

It is like trying to swim against the tide. When you die, people will talk abt how brave you were and everything, but the fact remains: You are dead. I would rather not swim, but stay on the land and criticise. At least I'm alive to enjoy whatever I can!

lets have something clear here: a re-election means more waste of taxpayers money. and even if a re-election is called, you wont get radically different people to choose from. Just a diff set of politicians to choose (who wont be different than the first set)

so think twice before clamoring for a re-election.

I will probably cast my vote when they have "Torture, castrate and slowly execute all politicians to a painful death" as one of the options.

^^ lol, in their situation/position you would pretty much be doing the same things the politicians do.

Possibly even worse. But then, I'm an idealist.

Wow.. Am amazed to see the variety of reasons people give for not voting. Agreed that most politicians are dishonest and corrupt, but that is not reason enough for abstaining from voting. Consider that you don't have the choice to abstain, and vote for the lesser evil. Even of it means swimming against the tide and dying in the end. When each of us does our part, I'm sure we can change the course of the tide itself. At least, there is no harm in trying, isn't it..?
As for the No Vote option, I'm sure it hasn't been implemented till now, and won't be done so in the near future.

For guys residing at Bandra West:

You can get register at RVTI at 15th road. Many rickshaw walla guys dont know where RVTI school is but go to BPM school and the peon will point you to the place. According to those so called officials (lesser you talk/argue/reason with them the better since they cant comprehend logic), they are giving and collecting forms at St Stanislaus, Hill Road and/or Durello convent but according to folks over there they ARE supposed to do so but they didnt even make an appearance.

There are 2 forms-one is for registering your name for voting (either its form 18 or form 16- not sure since my name is allready registered) and second is for voter's ID card (it will say epic some on the top right corner). Each form has 2 set of paper to fill up. They have asked for xerox copies of ration card, pan/passport, birth certificate and a letter from the society of your building that you are living for x years along with 2 passport size photographs. Best if you carry your originals as well since they asked in random order. Stand in the line between 9.30-10 ish since there's only one guy who checks the forms and another guy who accepts it for such a big population :P. I have submitted mine today alongwith my brothers and moms. Not necessary the person needs to come personally so 1 person can submit the forms for their whole family- but only for family and not for friends/ relatives. Last time these guys screwed it up for voter's ID card but I got help from Priya Butt's office and that's where I learnt that there are 2 different forms- something those officials couldnt even explain despite explaining it clearly that I wanted to voter's ID card but my name is allready registered. Hope this info helps. According to them the last date is 23rd (so far- unless they get an update) and one will get a voter's id card on April.

They will need to come to RVTI to collect the voter id card.
